I worked with 5 nurses and 1 doctor for 10 years, then went on my own for 13 years and am still working. I tended to Hospice patients and their families. Personal care and whatever family needed done . Changed linen, did hair, shaved men. My patients were rejuvenated after care. I never let one patientlose their dignity. This care gives me purpose in my life. It has taught me to live life well and take nothing for granted. My work is my life. I just love careing for people, and di any errands for family or let them know they could go run errands while I am taking care of their loved ones. It gave them a much needed break and knowing their loved ones are in good hands with me. I am a Clinton native and everyone knows me. I also saw patients in surrounding areas and Illinoise. Would love to teach Hospice care to aides. What I do you cannot learn in a book. I have so much knowledge, if I dont do alot of Hospuce I would love to have new aides carry on my knowledge and use it as they work. I dont care too much about pay, I just want to work in some capacity in Hospice. Thank you for a chance to make a difference in peoples life, and I know without a doubt.

I am cna certified and also am cpr certified. I have been working in the health field since 15 starting as a dietary aide then going on to laundry and housekeeping . Then was put through classes for cna I have been certified for 14 years as a aide and I absolutely love meeting new people helping others and connecting with people as friends not just a caregiver as well . I do not have a drivers license but that absolutely does not stop me from being responsible and dependable when I say I will be or am suppose to be somewhere I will be there most times even earlier then said . I am still able to always grab a few things needed from the grocery store or Walmart as I myself always am needing things. So please don't count me out on the fact that I don't have a license I am still a very dependable and loving caring person who can still do the tasks asked with out one. A little about my family I am a mother of two a daughter who is a senior this year and a son who is in 4th grade my son has autism and adhd so I am also experienced in that and I am also expecting one on the way due in February. I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I like being able to be there when someone needs extra help with everything even the little things, and putting a smile on someone's face that may just be having a bad day. I think going back to school would be my achievement that i'm proud of most, I started the LPN program and graduated now waiting to take my boards, so I can go on and become an RN and get my Masters in Nursing so I can teach.

I have been a CNA for almost 4 years but I have been around the medical field my entire life. I am a very kind and caring person. Your family member(s) will always come before myself. What attracted me to care giving is that I want to make a difference abs be there for your family when you aren't able to. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the feeling of self-accomplishment. I feel like it's am amazing heart-warming feeling whether it's being there day 1 when your loved one experiences a major health issue requiring assistance, or maybe it's being there because your schedule is too hectic to be there for your loved one 24/7. I have experience with hospice care as well. I am also a very strong individual so if ur loved one requires extensive lifting it won't bother me at all. One of the personal achievements I'm proud of is being able to being someone back to life when they thought they were too far gone.
