I am a very experienced healthcare worker. I have over 25 years as a professional CARE GIVER, CNA, CMA, and LPN. I love working and helping people in many capacities. It gives me great pleasure to help others. I am proud of my experience and the willingness to always learn more. I first took care of my Great Aunt when I was in high school. She was dying from cancer. I came home after school and went to her house and would spend the night. I cooked for her, helped her get ready for bed and most of her cares. I miss her greatly, but she gave me so much more than a job. She was family and we loved each other. I bring that same kindness and sense of love to those I care for now. I am looking forward to continuing this as your care giver.

Hello, My name is Christina. I've been a caregiver for just over 10 years now. I love my job. I love getting to know someone on a very personal level and trying to make life alittle easier, if only for a little while. I've always wanted to work in the medical field. After getting some wisdom from some family that had been in it for many years, I decided to start with my Certification for nursing assistance first. I've done facility and private care for many years each and love the impact that I have had and equally received from my patients. I've done almost every skill that you can think of, from driving to doctors apt. to staying over night for end of care, and everything in between. One of the things Im most proud of, in regards to caregiving is becoming 'part of the family'. I love that I can give the family members a sense of security knowing that I am there for thier loved ones.

I started work in a nurseing home at 15 years old worked in laundry and housekeeping for a year and a half then i went to cna classes at st.athonys care center in rock island il. I worked up to a cna intil 2015 when i went private care . now im a personal care assistance / caregiver . im 46 years old i live in aledo il, i have two sons one is 26 years old and onther one is 23 years old .i enjoy being with clients i have respect, honest, truthful, encouragement, love , caring, protection, im looking for monday thru friday day shift hours .i have 34 years of experience. I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I like being able to be there when someone needs extra help with everything even the little things, and putting a smile on someone's face that may just be having a bad day. I think going back to school would be my achievement that i'm proud of most, I started the LPN program and graduated now waiting to take my boards, so I can go on and become an RN and get my Masters in Nursing so I can teach.

It all Started when I was very young, I was 5 and Started To realize my mom's balance wasnt like the other kids mom's. It was just my mom and I, so I instinctively helped her as much as a 5 year old could. As I got older she got worse, and I could help more. That's exactly what I did. She ended up being misdiagnosed with polyneuropathy in the mid 90s. She got worse over the years, and eventually could not walk at all. In 2008-09 we found out she had a tumor growing all throughout her spinal cord. which was in fact the cause of why she was losing and eventually lost the ability to walk at all. She can't feel her legs and feet, or anything below the belly button. She ended up getting bed sores, so I change her wound dressings daily, and a nurse comes one day a week. She takes pictures of her progress. I have experienced with the wound vac, and right now we just use silver nitrate and barrier cream, and flip her on her sides for two hours. This is the second time she's had these sores so they won't ever heal fully. I used to get paid by seiu (doors) to be her caregiver but they cut her off for her assets. So I still take care of her and do everything the same 7 days a week any way. I am fully qualified, I run arrends, prepare meals, clean, so laundry, bathe her and just tend to her needs.

I first became interested in working with the elderly in high school. I have worked in care facilities as well as in client homes. Personally I enjoy working in the homes more allowing the person to stay in their home versus going to a facility. The smiles on the clients face is priceless and it makes what ever chore or task worth doing. I have always went the extra mile for the client even if it meant I wouldnt be paid.

I am a compassionate, loyal and caring individual. I've always been drawn to care for people since I was a child. I was once cared for by an amazing nurse, and I knew then thats were my heart was and that I wanted to be able to provide that care to others. I enjoy the level of comfort I bring to my clients and their families knowing that they can depend on me to be there for their loved when when they are unable to. Personal Achievement that I am most proud of: I stepped out of my comfort zone and started an In-home care business.

I enjoy working with clients, it give me great pleasure to no that I can make a differance in someone life. I have been a Nurses Assistant, and a Direct Support Professional for over 30 years.

I have been a CNA for almost 4 years but I have been around the medical field my entire life. I am a very kind and caring person. Your family member(s) will always come before myself. What attracted me to care giving is that I want to make a difference abs be there for your family when you aren't able to. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the feeling of self-accomplishment. I feel like it's am amazing heart-warming feeling whether it's being there day 1 when your loved one experiences a major health issue requiring assistance, or maybe it's being there because your schedule is too hectic to be there for your loved one 24/7. I have experience with hospice care as well. I am also a very strong individual so if ur loved one requires extensive lifting it won't bother me at all. One of the personal achievements I'm proud of is being able to being someone back to life when they thought they were too far gone.
