I am very passionate about taking care of people and have been since I was a little girl, which I why I became a STNA in February of 2004. The thing I love the most about being a caregiver is that I know that my resident is well taken care of with me. A personal achievement for me is when I became a mother.

I am an outgoing, friendly, and caring person. I have lost family members and I decided I wanted to take care of other people. I got into caregiving in 2017 and fell in love. I am very thorough and organized. I love my job. I have went on vacation with a client and their family to provide care in April of 2021.

I have been a CNA for 10 years, and have worked in all different situations in many different facilities. I aspire to go further with my nursing degree, and eventually, hopefully become an RN like my mom. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me a sense of purpose, I enjoy helping people. Many life lessons held dearest to my heart, came from the facility where I worked my first 2 years as a CNA. I currently work PRN for an agency based out of Indianapolis. Although I am through an agency, I have been steadily picking up at a facility in Franklin for over 5 years. I am searching for a PRN or part time option closer to home. Hello my name is Michelle Dayton. I have worked in home healthcare for close to 25 years. I have been State certified as a CNA in both Michigan and Indiana. I am not currently certified but I am a registered HHA. I get tremendous enjoyment of taking care of others. My healthcare career started as a volunteer for hospice after I lost my grandparents. I've seen what amazing work they did and how at peace my grandparents were when they passed and I chose to pay it forward. I am a little more picky on the people I take care of then other Aides for two reasons: 1. If the client and I seem to clash it's no good for anyone. So I will not waste your time or my own. I will just respectfully decline the offer. 2. The clients I take on will not be just a clients. I love my people like they're my own family and I will do my absolute best to meet every need they have. If I cannot accomplish that I will find someone who can and put you in touch with them, because there's no sense in your family members being unhappy and uncomfortable in their own home. I feel that I am very caring and compassionate with each and every client that I've had. I believe everyone deserves respect, kindness and a voice( your opinion matters to me!) I will never force your family members to do something they don't want to do. I feel they have live through several wars, a great depression and a whole lot of hardship in the past and now is their time to be pampered. If your family member needs anything or you have questions about anything if I can't answer them I will find the answers and if I have the answers I will let you know.

I am a 26 year old Woman and I have been working in this field for five years now. I am experienced from home health, nursing homes, and assisted living. I have experience with all different kinds of clients and residents. I have two children and I am going to be attending nursing school to farther in my career and this upcoming year. I have two children and was raised mostly by my grandparents so I take pride in making sure people are taken care of and treated the way I would want them to be. During my undergraduate career I worked in senior care (5 years), and while my current position is rewarding- I truly miss being a caregiver. Being a caregiver allows you to know individuals on a deep and intimate level while helping them and their families transition during a very challenging time.
