I am a caring woman who enjoys helping others, that explaining why I became A healthcare worker. To see someone smile from just hearing A few kind words is very gratifying. I have worked very hard to support my four daughters alone. I enjoy learning a lot! I plan on starting school in the near future and I can't wait. I am Very easy to get along with. I have a somewhat goofy personality, I like to joke around and sometimes be silly, but I'm very good with the elderly. I'm very kind and understanding about them not being able to do things on their own or that they may take a little longer. I don't rush them. And they tend to appreciate that. I decided to be a CNA in 2002 because I was tired of working as a waitress and needed a better paying job to support my children, but I also enjoy being around elderly people and talking to them, learning about their lives, what they did for a living, their families and I LOVE looking at their old pictures and helping them walk down memory lane. I think an achievement I'm proud of is paying 50,000 dollars cash for our house. My husband got a settlement and that's what we did with it. My PERSONAL achievement that I'm proud of is of course my children but also being able to survive the death of my 5 year old daughter and to be able to tell parents how important it is to keep medications locked up. There's a lot of things I'm proud of in my life, way too many to list here.

What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that im always with a willing spirit to provide quality patient care and the compassion I hold for someone in need of my help is my expertise! I started out as a caregiver without a license in the year of 2009! I took on the responsibility of taking care of a woman that had a stroke and just needed Supervisory assistance. I learned so much from her, I enjoyed her just as much as she enjoyed me. My resident became a part of me. Going forward I decided that to be able to aboard facilities and help more people would suit me. After she passed in the year 2011. I began taking nursing classes, I received my professional CNA license in the year of 2012. I felt I had accomplished major goals and now I was ready for the job! It made me feel needed and proud after a days work which has kept me in the medical field until now. I will always keep her in my memories and I won't forget my wonderful learning experiences which all began with her! Thank you

I am a very positive person, I love helping others and taking care of anyone and everyone. I am a mother of 6 beautiful children and I have 2 boys that have passed away. So taking care of others to my full potential and even beyond warms my heart. I don't believe I decided to become a caregiver, I believe I was born to help others... it was a gift given to me.
