What makes me a good caregiver is empathy and a caring heart. What attracted me to caregiving was a need for a compassionate caregiver for a family member of my own and what a difference it made in a difficult situation. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping people/ families it connects me to others and their gratitude is so rewarding it lets me know I'm doing the right thing. I had the best example.. my grandmother has been taking care of elderly in her home for over 40 years so she taught me everything that I needed to do this job I feel like God gave me this calling. Everyone that I have taken care of I still remember them to this day. It is a privilege than on a car of a person last moment on her or the last few years.

I started as a Home Health Aide working for Hospice, then received a position at a Nursing Home where I fell in love with residents suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer's. I am also a CHT (Hemodialysis Technician), MHT (Mental Health Technician), and a Veterinary Technician working at the world renowned Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.
