Am a 27 year old female care giver. I became a caregiver because I believe in helping and making someone's day better. My achievement in this job has been being able to help clients and achieve their health goals like recovery. I have been a caregiver close to seven years and making an impact in one's life is my ultimate goal.

I chose to be a caregiver from my childhood taking care of my loved ones in my family whoever got sick and was hospitalized, I was number one to go and take care of them, when I grew up, started to take care of my Mom who had diabetes and High blood pressure, came to America and started working in a small assisted living for people with Alzheimer and my passion for care increased .I was so happy to make a difference in these people and make them smile.

I am a Physician Assistant by training with over 20 years experience in caring for the elderly and terminally sick patients both in Uganda and the U.S specifically in California. I am a people person and derive my passion in seeing those I have cared for improved. My personal achievement is the work authorization which I have that allows me do my job any where in the United States.

Becoming a caregiver grew from my personal experience of caring for my grandfather. My grandfather built his home with his own hands and all he wanted was to live out his life in it. Watching him become less capable to care for himself and his house quickly became the driving force behind my overpowering desire to help seniors stay in their homes. Think of me like a multi tasking personal life assistant! What is that you ask? Well...... not only can I provide assistance with daily living tasks, but I can also assist with all aspects of household management. I can accompany you to appointments, be an advocate by your side, a voice for you, or just help you by listening and taking notes. I can help you run errands, food shop & track and manage household management tasks like maintenance & repairs. One day I may be fixing the dishwasher, the next day I'm correlating all your upcoming medical appointments and family visits. I believe that our age should not dominate our lives, how old we are does not determine who we are. I will do anything I can to help someone continue living in their home, because I believe if that's what they wish, then they deserve a chance. Aging in place is a realistic and viable option that we should always consider.

1-Reason I became a caregiver, love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. 2-I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh so achieving a smile on their face. 3- I am a single parent and also raised 2 children with medical needs, I learn to balance out work and home to achieve the best work possible in all areas.

I am a college student currently studying speech pathology at Umass Amherst. I have been a caregiver for the past 6 years, and I have loved every moment of it! Im a state certified nursing assistant through the Red Cross Im very down to earth humble women! I love to help others! And I have a very big heart for the elderly community I have had 6 years of long term care experience, skilled in dementia and Alzheimer's care. I also know Spanish and American Sign Language. I'm also phlebotomy and EKG certified I worked on a adult and pediatric medsurg floor at Beverly hospital and I've been a cna for 6 years, been very fortunate enough to have amazing experiences with all ages in healthcare specifically And extensively with the geriatric community I am very dependable responsible and compassionate and will go above and beyond for my patient's. I have experience in long term care, I'm specialized in rehab dementia, hospice an all elderly care, I also have adult MedSurg hospital experience with all ages from newborn to geriatric, also psychiatric. I'm phlebotomy certified I am also trilingual I know English Spanish and American sign language. I have a car I am willing to travel I am also med tech certified. I also have experience with caring for individuals that have disability's or paraplegic's and vent in trach care. I've also had the opportunity to take care of in-home hospice care and end of life. I'm OSHA certified. I am CPR and first aid BLS certified. I am also trained and certified for COVID-19 and can provide all precautions such as PPE N95s and I'm able to educate and provide all measures to protect.

1. I became a caregiver to help people who need support. I want to build a family and support and its a career that helps other people as well. A job should be something you are happy doing and I find it very rewarding be able to help others. I have always been a person that wants to help others. It is the care and compassion that that you put into the work that is most meaningful. 2. I love the joy of seeing others appreciate the work that I do. Helping others accomplish daily livings activities or tasks they not previously able to complete is one thing I like best about being a caregiver. 3. One achievement I am proud of is being able to balance my work life and my family I am very focused on personal growth so I am continuously achieving personal goals and learning the skills to better help others. 4. I am very ambitious and optimistic. I live to think outside of the box.
