I became a caregiver because I needed a job then I can't stop being one because I loved it, I love helping others and making their life easier. Being a caregiver is one of my passion, I love making difference in peoples lives, I go home happy because I did something for the person in need which made them, smile, comfortable, satisfied and at the end of the day send me home blessed. I'm dependable, compassionate, honest and caring person. What makes me think and believe that I'm a great caregiver is that everyone of my patient called me "my angle" and this is because I treat everyone of them as they were my own, I don't leave anything that can be done today for tomorrow because we may not have tomorrow and I don't want to live with guilty consciousness for the rest of my life, therefore I provide all the assistance the patient needs right then when he/she needs it, not tomorrow. Some people ask me, "why are you a caregiver?" I smile and simply respond, "I care to care."
Caring for others has not only created an occupation for me, but also a way of life.
Waking up in the morning and knowing that I am on my way to make someone feel better, either by assisting with daily living activities, by listening, or by telling jokes that make a client smile, makes me feel a great sense of accomplishment and joy.
I have been a caregiver for over six years and have never had a dull day since I began. Each day provides me with an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone, and I cannot think of anything more rewarding.
I am an empathetic, forthright, punctual, honest, and patient individual who maintains professionalism at all times. I believe that these fundamental characteristics put me on level ground with the clients I have cared for throughout the years, and with their families and loved ones.
Since childhood I have wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and being a caregiver I can make an impact that goes above and beyond that goal. I am a caregiver with more than 14 years of experience with seniors and people with special needs. I provide safe, respectful, loving, skilled care towards every one of my patients. I will deliver peace of mind to family members by keeping their loved ones safe while also protecting their independence and preserving their dignity. I give detailed information and pay close attention to my clients and to the families' needs. I have taken care of many people from family members, friends, and clients in facilities to group home members and privately cared for patients. Whatever the needs may be, I strive to go above and beyond my call of duty. Life is a treasure and if I can provide life or encouragement to anyone, or let them know that they are still loved and living with grace and dignity, I am that Angel. Many people lose their independence and feel lost. I can give clients, as well as their families, peace of mind knowing that things will work out fine.
