I have always loved helping and taking care of people as a child. I realized it was a talent I had when I grew up and I have loved it ! I enjoy putting smiles on people's faces from the help I give them. As a caregiver, I've learned to love and beloved by my patients. They teach me new things each day. I am fully vaccinated, and have my booster. I haven't been able to submit an image of my vaccination card to the site, but if you are interested in hiring me, I can send the image through communications (texts, email, etc.). I like to make my patients laugh, regardless of what the task is, whether I am helping them clean up an accident, or helping them get dressed, it can be a fun experience for both of us. I have received personal letters saying thank you for being so kind and patiently caring, from families and patients themselves. I am skilled at what I do. I do things thoroughly. I am stronger than I look, I can easily transfer people larger and taller than me. I know when to lower someone to the ground during transfers to prevent them from falling and hurting themselves. I know how to determine normal vital signs, and blood sugar levels. I have worked in nursing facilities, and respond well in emergency situations. I do have a cat allergy.

I"m a Certified Nurse Assistant who go above and beyond for my patients. I'm a active listener and a fast leaner making me more than just a caregiver. My patience, empathy and observation skill make me a special caregiver. I enjoy doing sometime they cannot do for themself.

I was born in a caregiver role as a child. I took care of my siblings when I was much younger. When I was in middle school my grandmother had an operation on her back and I took care of her until she was able to take care of herself. I was in school and I wanted to take care of the elderly. So I took a C.N.A. course and I worked at the School of Nursing. I worked with an elderly woman privately and I enjoyed watching movies with her. She loved Forrest Gump. I like the assignment that I have. I got her walking when they said she couldn't walk, I got her up from being bed bound twice. I had to help her. First we crawled, then she stood up, balance was our next step, and then a few steps here, and then full walking transfers! They said she is a walking miracle. I am proud of myself that I was able to follow doctors orders, nurse orders, P.T. and O.T. exercises.

I started my career in Health Care right out of High school. I have over 20 years experience. I have worked Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Hospice. With that I have seen a lot & been taught by some amazing leaders. I go into each home with the attitude of this could be my Parent/ Grandparent, Treat them as how i would want my family cared for. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is the history of my patents. It brings so much joy to see them smile and relive there favorite memories of the past. I held my Certified Nursing assistant license for many years & only gave it up when I choose to not work in Nursing Homes. I keep up with all the latest training & have many certificates.

I have 4 years of previous Experience of being a CNA, home health care aide & a personal care attendant, working with senior citizens. I have a passion for caring for people, making a impact and being a companion for those in need. what makes me a great caregiver, I've heard before, is I'm reliable, kind and understanding, patient and attentive. I always new I wanted to be a caregiver at a very young age . My grandmother would help all the elderly in the neighborhood and I tagged along to help . From high school I went to Owens college for my certification to become an Aide . I've learned through years of experience to blend in the ways of caring to becoming friends with the patient. Learning their life and what is their routine , what they like or dislike. Keep moving ( move it or lose it ) daily range of motion and exercise is important,.Keep living and enjoy what you can . Over 28 years of caring for people ,I became friends with so many family's that I still have contact with and referrals from their family and friends.

A good caregiver is attentive and responds to situations in a timely manner. A patient, especially the elderly, needs constant care and attention. I have been working with the elderly for several years and I am a Good caregiver. I enjoy working with people I enjoy making my clients laugh and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way.
