I am 59 years old. Iv been caregiving since 2019. I am fully convid vaccinated. Before this I did residential cleaning . As I began to get older I decided to try something different and more rewarding. My niece talked me into trying caregiving. Since I have started this career. Iv enjoyed it. I love taking care of people . It's not only a job it becomes personal. You get attached and become friends with the patient and their families. I am filling trained in many areas. Your basic bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning,. I'm also experienced in tube feeding, wound cleaning, transferring in every area( hoyer lifts, transfer boards etc. vital monitoring, medication dispensing. Hospice!!! All areas !! I worked with the Visiting Angels Caregiver & Home health group out of Knoxville, Tn for about 2 years as a caregiver. I also helped to care for my mother, father, a sister, a brother, an aunt, an uncle, my husband, and my son. I am retired, but I still enjoy working part time as a caregiver. I can help care for your loved ones, when you need to be engaged elsewhere. Or when you just need an occasional break.... And we all need that occasional break sometimes.

I have been in the nursing field since I was 16 in one form or another. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse because I always enjoyed helping people and I love to talk, I never meet a stranger no matter where I go , I went to RN school in Indiana and worked on the medical surgical floor and worked in surgery for a few years. I was pretty blessed and was able to stay home with my children as they grew up, so I took time off from my career was a stay at home mother but always knew I would get involved in nursing again .As my children grew up I got involved in homecare which I love, I have met such wonderful families and clients along my journey and wouldn't trade my experience for anything.

Its takes a caring heart to do this job. I cared for many in my life and I dont want to stop. I take care of my mother and I have wonderfull little boy.

I have 16 years of professional caregiving experience and many years of unpaid personal family experience. I chose to stay in Caregiving over the years because I wanted to remain socially involved on a personal basis with people. My work at home involves things I mostly do alone, like studying nature, writing, and improving my art. It helps to have a balance in life.

I cared for my parents for over a year until their deaths, and later decided that I was good at it. My clients regularly ask for only me to work with their loved ones, and that is a good feeling. They appreciate the fact that they can feel safe and know I can be relied on to be there and be prompt about it. I have 8 consecutive years of verifiable experience. I will be moving to the East Tennessee area this spring, 2021, and can work with a varied set of needs. I hope you will speak to my current employers about me and my capabilities and my personality.
