What makes me a great caregiver my heart is about the client and they care and well bein and making sure they are cared for properly and have a companionship with there making it about them letting them know they are still loved and no matter what I'm there for any needs to be met by them I became a caregiver because I use to go to work with my mom and watch her care for her clients and I always told myself I wanted to be someone who could be there for someone who could not be there for themselves and I want them to know I'm there for them and they are like family to me in anyways to be I being doing this over 20 yrs I have well experience caring for patients in there homes in the assist facilities and nursing home home I even worked in group homes I know how to use the hoyer lift and transfers meal prep dealing with medication reminders and doing the medication ADL for the clients cooking, cleaning , grooming went to the Doctor appointments and having a companionship with them letting them know it's about them and not me because my duty is to make sure they are comfortable

I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. why i chose to become a caregiver is a thing that i love doing and is inline with my goal in life, been a caregiver helps, teaches and build you up in caring for people and even in home, my achievement is understanding how to communicate with people in need most especially with older adults. While taking care of my father, I found joy in caring for others.After losing my father I card for other family members while obtaining my CNA license. I became a care giver, because I was asked to help take care of my god father for a few months. I ended up staying in the field because I got another client by word of mouth and I absolutely love it. I enjoy what I do because I feel that I am making a difference in the lives of my clients not just because of their physical inability but the biggest part of my job is their mental well being. I try to put a smile and an Imprint on their heart every day. The personal achievement that I am very proud of, is that I have never had a client complain about my services. I pride myself on caring for my clients ,and their well being is a reflection of me. They may not always like the choices that I may have to make for them for their health but I have found, that they will appreciate the adjustments once they see and feel the benefits.
