I am a patient caregiver who understands and meets the needs of a client. I strive to make my clients' lives a little easier by directly and positively impacting their quality of life. I have been a caregiver for 20 years: I joined a full-time church ministry and was ordained as clergy. I served as a hospital chaplain for five years in my clergy position. When offering spiritual and moral support to my patients, I discovered I could be involved in extended care. I provided personal hygiene and bathroom services to my patients as a chaplain. This was because I cared so much about my patient's well-being (I do). I did my CNA certification and joined the caregiver's vocation. I have diverse experiences in the medical field and facilities. I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing Facilities, Adult family homes/ group homes, home health aides, hospice aides, and medication technicians. I have a calling and am very passionate about serving patients; I feel fulfilled when I make patients feel comfortable and well-supported. I take delight in the care I offer to my client. Helping patients feel and recognize warm, tender, gentle, and good-natured caregiving. I am a hard-working caregiver, Neat and organized. I communicate where needed with the families and others concerned. I assist my clients with all their daily needs and activities. My names are Anne Marion. I am a dependable and compassionate caregiver. I have been working in the home care industry for 6years. I pride my self on being able to quickly learn and adapt to any situation. In the past, i have assisted clients with there activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, home exercise, taking vital signs, and maintained a clean household. I try to connect with my client spending time with them, going for a walk and driving to shopping and appointments. Sometime I assisted with laundry, cooking and house keeping depending on what the client ask.

I started of in the caregiving field with taking care of my grandfather. In the process I got to learn a lot and I did enjoy doing it. I treat every client like my own family with love and compassion. Every client had different needs, so I get to understand the client first and foremost. I mostly enjoy the learning process in caregiving, no matter how long one has been a caregiver, we get to learn new things every time. I once had a client who had dementia (late stage), who did not want to go to bed (it was late at night). One thing that the client enjoyed was watching animal documentaries . I showed the client pictures of different animals that I had taken when I went to Kenya and the client calmed down and I was able to redirect the client to bed. My patience with the client helped me assure the client that I was on her side. This scenario really made me proud of the caregiver that I'm becoming. I love what I do.

I will proudly say that I'm a patient gentleman and Patience is a great way to derive success in many aspects of life. Having in mind that caregiving can be challenging sometimes, I derived success in caregiving by exercising patients and kindness towards my clients. I started caregiving by taking care of my own mother, when I saw how happy she feels by having me around, I felt blessed doing it and when she passed, I extended the same compassion to others. I really enjoy it when I notice that I have made a positive impact on the life of my client; I can remember being called God sent by the wife of one of my clients; the gentleman returned home after spending months at the hospital and rehab, he lost his ability to walk and speak. after I was called in as a caregiver, he regained his mobility and speech because we had to engage with him not just as a client but as a loved one...

I am an honest person, patient, I am keen to details, I am open to experience, I am empathetic, I am compassionate thus the reason as to why I chose to be a caregiver and since I have an experience rooted back in childhood whereby I was taking care of my grandparents up until they passed on when I was at the age of 22 years old. So, I enjoy working with people and I enjoy jobs where I interact with older adults since I feel I can get along well with them and I believe I can be a good companion too. I am able to identify a problem and solve it if it is within my scope of work, I am creative that I can come up with a new idea that may improve things if allowed to. Hello! My name is Anna and I currently live in West Seattle. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for the past 15 years. I have worked in various settings from nursing homes specializing in Altzheimers/Dementia and hospice, to adult family homes, assisted living facilities, as well as (last 8 years working with Provident St. Peter Hospital) working in hospital setting. I am a licensed CNA with over 17 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards, as well as Mental Health certification. The last 2 1/2 years I've worked with predominantly one client providing care for all the activities of daily living (including transportation) and companionship as well as acting as a healthcare advocate. I've also spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. I have provided care for clients with multiple health concerns including hypertension, stenosis, heart disease, depression, paralysis, digestive disorders, and cancer. I also worked during my training in a nursing home. As a side note, I have learned tremendously for 5 years the many aspects of case management acting as a POA and Healthcare Representative/Advocate/Case Manager for a family member and other clients so am able to provide those kind of services as well if needed. I previously worked as a Veterinary Technician for 16 years and in a prior position provided at home medical care for my client's pet as well. I can also provide Clerical Support as in prior positions I reviewed/maintained medical and other records, facility admission/release forms and contracts, mental health assessments, legal documents, and auto and homeowner's insurance policies.
