Hello! I am a licensed CNA with over 10 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, current BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards (12/2016), as well as Mental Health certification. I spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. I have provided care for clients with multiple health concerns including hypertension, depression, paralysis, digestive disorders, and cancer. I also worked during my training in a nursing home. As a side note, I have learned tremendously in the last 5 years the many aspects of case management acting as a POA and Healthcare Representative/Advocate/Case Manager for a family member and other clients so am able to provide those kind of services as well if needed. I previously worked as a Veterinary Technician for 16 years and in my last position provided at home medical care for my client's pet. I can also provide Clerical Support as in prior positions I reviewed and maintained medical and other records, facility admission/release forms and contracts, mental health assessments, legal documents, and auto and homeowner's insurance policies. Also handled all phone/mail communications and appointments. Thank you so much for your time in reviewing my profile and I look forward to seeing how I might help with your caregiving needs. R. Sagner, CNA, LVT Please note that my hourly rate varies depending on the position. Normally I have a 4 hour minimum for short shifts, but can sometimes agree to 3 hours depending on location. Thank you!

I became a care giver at the age of 18 because I needed a job in my local town, once I started in this profession I became more and more infatuated with it. Therefore, I have chosen to be care giver for more than 30yrs. In this time frame I have accelerated my education by becoming a Nurse Delegate and going to Everest Tech where I received a diploma as a medical assistant. I have learned so much in this time, however no one can know every thing, my Papa says a person must strive to learn some thing new every day so, I try my best. I have continued in this particular line of work because, my heart goes out to those who are in need whether it be in companionship or personal care. I strive to help them remember the old days, family, fun things they have done, where they grew up and compare with them how things are today. If I am on shift I do my best to give each person some quality time I think that is very important to a person no one likes to feel like they are just another body; I compliment all, give hugs, and listen if someone is sad. I am known as the Hummer at work, I hum through the whole shift, sometimes a resident/ client will tell me I am humming a certain child hood song and start singing it for me, they will ask me why I hum I say its a warning (if I am not humming I am in a bad mood) they laugh an say you must be happy all the time, I say yep when I'm here with you I am happy.
