My main strength is my ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. By being able to communicate effectively, I am able to more clearly understand not only what patients are needing, but how I can effectively assist them. This ensures I do the right thing the first time and there are no miscommunication problems.

I have 18 yrs experience as a caregiver for elderly, disabled individuals. I have a history of being a CNA, Rehab assistant, and a sitter. I enjoy being able to aid these individuals maintain their quality of life, whether it means helping with showers, meals, household chores or running errands, among other services.

I love helping others, I'm a very compassionate person. Being able to make an individual feel good about themselves. Being able to provide for my children and grandchild. I'm very confident within the woman I've become of the years, I'm a very hard working, I'm very dependable, I love my family.

It's my passion to assist individuals who need help with daily activities. I have been helping family members and close family friends for a long time. Helping others became important to me early on in life. Helping individuals reach and surpass goals is truly meaningful to me. One personal achievement that I'm most proud of is, recognizing the signs and symptoms of a stroke in a person. By the time we got to the emergency room, she seemed ok. They were considering sending her home, but I knew something wasn't right. I advocated for her, and they kept her. We received a phone call one hour later saying that she was being life flighted. She was in grave condition, and they didn't expect her to make it. The doctor said that had she went home and went to sleep, he was sure she would have passed. I cherished the training, and the knowledge to calmly, yet efficiently do my job, it saved her life.

I'm a compassionate, patient, hands on, understanding, sense of humor, present, detail oriented, very caring, loving person, and caregiver. I've always enjoyed caring for and helping people, I have a passion for helping others, it gives me a great joy plus a chance to empathize with people to build strong connections . I enjoy caring for people and mostly enjoy having one on one interaction with others. One of the greatest achievements as a caregiver is the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in need. I've completed several caregiver training programs including a 13 week Dementia class, giving me sufficient skills to provide specialized care.
