What makes me a good caregiver is I take pride in my work, I take care of your loved ones just as you would expect. I see my clients as I would my own family. What attracted me to become a caregiver the last 6 years is when I was little girl my grandmother needed more help around the house and full filling her regular routine. Growing up my father needed the same help as he was bed bound I refused to let him go to a nursing home so I made sure to help him in anyway I could. The main thing that I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that families loved ones are being taken care of and not being neglected or abused. It makes me feel whole that I can bring light back into someone's life wether it be just providing companionship or making my clients feel they are not alone. One of my biggest personal achievements I am proud of would be being a mom, taking care of my kids and also having the extra passion to take care of someone else warms my heart.

Hi, my name is Taylor. I'm a sophomore in college. I am outspoken, and can hold a conversation with anyone. I love being around people and helping them. Compassion is one of the best qualities I have. I serve everyone with the same compassion. I wanted to be a caregiver because selfishly its a step towards my career in nursing, but also I would want someone to take care of me the way I take care of my patients and residents. Family is my world and if I can step into a family and take a little burden off of them so they can continue to progress in their day to day activities I'm overjoyed to provide that service. I currently work for a home health care company and care for elderly in their own homes with everyday needs. My son is 4years old. I'm currently enrolled in college to get my CNA license. I do currently have my DSP certification. What makes me a great care giver is my extraordinary empathy and compassion for the disabled. I took care of my grandmother during the last 4 years of her life and I am very knowledgeable about disabilities and elder care. I will be attending college in the fall for a Certified Medical Assistant program. By showing both empathy and compassion, I will let the person I am caring for know that I care about them and want to do what I can to help them.
