Hello, I consider myself a warm, compassionate person with a gift of patience. I empathize with many because I know what it feels like to need someone one to lend a hand and how difficult it may be to ask for that help when needed. At age 15, I cared for my dying mother and father, and decided to dedicate my life to be of service to others who could no longer care for themselves. I can honestly say that care giving brings out the best in me. When I see a need, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual one, I am challenged to work with the families to help fulfill that need. Everyone deserves that kind of experience in life and I believe everyone needs somebody. I am very proud to be a caregiver for the last 35 years and the families I have met have enriched my life and have helped me grow as a person. My personality trait is every day wherever I go throughout the day how can I help someone. My joy is helping people in anyway I can. If I cannot help them I will look for that help for them and try to bring a smile on their face also. My Expertise as a caregiver is to put a lot of care and thought into my work. To complete every task that is required of me I can assure you that I'm very committed to my work. I also, put a lot of care into it. What attracted me to become a caregiver as my mother became ill I had to leave my full-time job. I cared for my mother to my best ability until her passing. During this time I was able to become a caregiver to other individuals. Family members were satisfied with my service. Due to the fact that I cared for these individuals as I would my own mother. What do I enjoy of most of being a caregiver ? Every time I am done taking care of my individuals. It's a fulfillment within my soul. That this individual was being taken care of to the best of my ability. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? To be my mother's caregiver working side-by-side with the doctors sorting her medication daily. To control her illnesses such as her A1c for diabetes, weight, mental illness, asthma, and COPD. My mother was able to have a longer and healthier life until her passing.

The reason that I have gone to school to take care of others which started with my grandmother getting very ill. I took care of her until she past away and continue the mission to make every day count that the person's life as well as mine. My expertise is working with mentally challenged, and physically.
