I was a Certified CNA over Twenty-Five years of experience in nursing homes and Home Health Care the reason I no longer have my CNA license is because I was caring for a sweet lady for the past 7yrs until my sweet angel passed away this past July I was her main caregiver and I no longer felt there was a need for a CNA license because I will no longer be working in the nursing homes facility I enjoy the Home setting better to give one on one love and professional care in the home I am a very caring and respectful including family values and morals and I am compassionate and I have a very big heart in helping others that's what attracted me to care for others I am a very prompt person I know it is important to be on time especially if someone is depending on you I consider myself a five star Home care Aide I have good job reference from past employment and current employer and good family recommendations

I feel what makes me a great caregiver are a few reasons: I'm experienced in this field, I'm patient and I know what to expect and how to handle whatever occurs from the job. I became a caregiver because it was similar to the very first job I had, which was a patient attendant at U of M Hospital, that was a rewarding job that I enjoyed, and ever since then I've been in this field most of my time working. I like being a caregiver because I like helping people, and the job is very rewarding despite things that may occur on the job. I have my CNA diploma.

I have always loved helping and taking care of people as a child. I realized it was a talent I had when I grew up and I have loved it ! I have been a care giver for over 10yrs I made this choice for my profession because of the empathy and compassion my heart holds for those who are in need. l 've been a caregiver since (1983) when I was trained and certifiied as s a direct care staff for the profoundly mentally handicap for 5 years, than transitioned over to caring for the elderly, recently I just loss a client of over 6yrs. who was 98 years old. I am fully vaccinated, and have my booster. I haven't been able to submit an image of my vaccination card to the site, but if you are interested in hiring me, I can send the image through communications (texts, email, etc.). I like to make my patients laugh, regardless of what the task is, whether I am helping them clean up an accident, or helping them get dressed, it can be a fun experience for both of us. I have received personal letters saying thank you for being so kind and patiently caring, from families and patients themselves. I am skilled at what I do. I do things thoroughly. I am stronger than I look, I can easily transfer people larger and taller than me. I know when to lower someone to the ground during transfers to prevent them from falling and hurting themselves. I know how to determine normal vital signs, and blood sugar levels. I have worked in nursing facilities, and respond well in emergency situations. I do have a cat allergy.

I am truly passionate about caring for others, whether it's children or seniors or someone with a disability; it means a lot to me to be able to do so. Over the years I have gained exceptional skills to be able to provide families with care for their loved ones. I am honest and dependable and always on time. I started out in this field at a very young age and have built so many relationships during my journey. What attracted me to patient and client care initially was my genuine love for caring for others and the ability to make a difference. I've become experienced in memory care, dementia care, long term care, hospice, youth care, developmentally disabled care, and general patient care which I did through Michigan Medicine. My name is Wanda J. Martindale born in Michigan but raised in St. Louis MO. In 1999 the company that I worked for downsized. my job position was an administrative assistant. I became a Career Foster Parent house 65 girls from 2002 until 2016. I still have communication with many of the girls. To work with teenage girls was placed in my heart and I could not do it except God would lead guide and direct. as a mission statement I prayed that God would guide me with each child It was my responsibility that I would guide in the most positive way and the rewards are when thy come back and say thank you. that reaches the heart. Upon my recent move to Michigan I decided to look for work there are many choices but, While in St. Louis I began to reach out in my neighborhood to seniors I was the block captain. Once I went to Caring Partners and had a few assignments I fell in love with working with Seniors. In 1994 I took care of my grandfather which I enjoyed. My goal is to take care of Seniors I wake up each day thankful and want to serve the best that I can. Seniors have pride and dignity and should not be treated with the upmost respect.
