I first became a caregiver in 1989, taking care of my foster grandmother. I was with her until her last breath in 1992. From there I took care of my son who was terminally ill with brain cancer. He passed in Nov. of 1993. I started working Home Health as an attendant in 2001 with Oxford in Joplin and then with Independent Living. I moved to another state and worked as Dietary Manager for an Assisted Living facility. My dad became ill in 2009 so moved back to Joplin to care for him and went to work for Independent Living Center from 2010- 2014. I worked taking care of my father fulltime from 2015- 2017 when he passed. I am a go getter done gal who loves working with the elderly or any age needed. I have not worked since Sept of 2017 when Rheumatoid Arthritis took control of me. I would love to work part time preferring the afternoons and or evenings. Mornings are hard for me until medicine kicks in and movement begins.(humor) I am able to do most tasks except heavy lifting, and tight gripping. I love working and miss it so but physical labor all day is impossible for me I am sad to say. Would love to prove that I can carry on with meal prep, household duties, bathing, and numerous other tasks. I am very personable, and compassionate.

First off I am a huge hearted person! I don't need many strangers and my love for other individuals shines Bright through everything that I do. I'm very detail oriented and always willing to jump in and learn something new do what it takes to complete the task at hand as thoroughly and as efficiently as possible. And being a caregiver has been something that I have done most of my life my mother worked in the medical field and started in respiratory and moved into her MD license and so growing up in that type of environment it was just something that came naturally to me. Being a caregiver is just an extension of my family basically, is what that means is that I take those that I'm providing care for and love them and care for them just as much as I would is if they were a member of my family. What I love most about being a caregiver is simply that I am able to help somebody in need and not for me is the most rewarding feeling that I could receive from the position.

I am a very friendly and caring person. I've always enjoyed helping people and I am a very outgoing person. I was drawn to the job because I saw it as a good life experience and it is something I have enjoyed doing before. I enjoy getting to hear different stories that they have to tell as well as what they have been through. I am proud of who I have grown into and what I have accomplished in my schooling and in life.

I enjoy people. I want to help people stay in their own homes instead of nursing homes. I cared for a young girl for eight years until she passed away and loved every minute of it. Have done home health with elderly and am an LPN.

I'm a very caring person. I have an outgoing , generous personality. I like to do more fore others than myself alot. I'm very reliable , trustworthy and consistant. My previous job was caring for patients in the hospital as a catering associate from 6:30am-7:30pm delivering breakfast, lunch and dinner , I did the most of what I could for the patients. I've dealt with many types of patients. Patients withdrawing from alcoholism/ drugs. Patient's whom were diabetic/cardiact. Patients going into surgery and coming out of surgery. Patients whom were bariatric and feeders. I had to make sure they were getting the diets they needed to be healthier due to their health conditions. My patients were whom made me want to wake up in the morning and go to work. They made me happy as much as I made them happy. I was grateful to have been there for them through the toughest times in life. It was my duty to make sure they got what they needed to passthrough that process in life. My patients were always happy to know I was there to take care of them. They warmed my heart everytime I walked in and out of thier rooms. My smile is what makes them smile. I had to move to MO so I couldn't continue my job. Therefore that is why I want to continue caring for elderly people here and now. I don't mind cleaning , laundry , as well as personal cleaning , etc. I am very pet friendly. I have my own vehicle. I love to cook. I will cook every meal or whatsoever is needed. I love being outside and just being proactive. I like to be neat and organized.
