I'm a registered medical assistant and phlebotomist. I've been working healthcare for 7 years now. Out of all life experiences, I've come to believe our elderly need more than just a caregiver but someone to call extended family. I'm a mother, daughter and sister. I've lost family to illness and cancer but still have the want to care for everyone that needs help.

As a young teenager, I would help give care to my great grandma as well as her home health nurses that came in and worked endlessly to make sure she had the best day she possibly could have. Seeing how drastically her days would change depending on who walked through the door, it lead to me wanting to go to college to become a nurse. If I could choose anyone to care for my loved one, I would want someone like me to give the position to. I have seen how illnesses can make someone, once so prideful, feel as if they aren't worthy anymore. My main goal is to make sure that, even on the bad days, your loved one would feel as if they were still as independent as they used to be and that they know they can rely on and trust their care giver. I attended Pioneer Technology Center in my high school years in order to receive my CNA license, I am currently enrolled at Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater to become an EMT, and after completing my course there, I will re-enroll at Northern Oklahoma College to complete my BSN. My current schedule is very flexible with my classes being Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. I hope to be able to work with you and your family soon!

I became a caregiver for elderly at 18. I choose to because growing up I didn't have my grandparents around I didn't know what it felt like just to be around them. So I started being a caregiver at 18 an loved it the moment I started. What I love most about being a caregiver is I can look at them as my own grandparents have talks walks etc. with them hear there stories etc. I am a funny person I love board games talking about funny times and just loving life I am full of energy person that always wears a smile. I also babysit kids as young as 6 weeks

I have always loved being able to help others! Seeing others smile when getting the help they need is what makes my days. I treat each and everyone i care for like they are my mom. When I can assist someone to the bathroom when they can't themselves or to take a drink or a bite of their meal and they are shaking to much and i can help guide them.. the look of relief and the smiles.. well those go a long long way for me! I just love being of assistance when others just can't quite do things themselves.

I became a caregiver because i truly believe i have a heart to care for people. I am really excited that I am furthering my education at Oklahoma State University in order to be able to apply to the Nursing Program.
