I like helping people and working with people who can't fend for their self. I've been a caregiver since I was a little girl taking care of orphaned baby animals. I am now a certified CNA. I have worked with elderly, disabled, along with mentally challenge people. I have worked in a med fragile home nursing homes and private home care. I have been certified in CPR, first aid and had a lot of training on working with elderly and disabled people. I've had 15 years of experience I've taken them shopping, doctor appointment, run errands, I give baths, help dress, cook, tubal feeding I've taken care of my dad ,he had alheizmer along with clients who had it. I can help with transporting to Doctors, cooking, laundry, bathing, exercising, light house cleaning, companionship, I know how to use a Hoyer lift. Hello, my name is Cydney! I have been a caregiver for 8 yrs. My caregiving journey begin when my great Aunt's health declined and she needed more assistance. Everyday after school I would take care of my aunt and I truly valued every moment. When my aunt transitioned I decided that I wanted to help others have that companionship as well. I have decided to stay in this field bc I love nurturing and being joyful for others.

I have been in the nursing field since I was 16 in one form or another. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse because I always enjoyed helping people and I love to talk, I never meet a stranger no matter where I go , I went to RN school in Indiana and worked on the medical surgical floor and worked in surgery for a few years. I was pretty blessed and was able to stay home with my children as they grew up, so I took time off from my career was a stay at home mother but always knew I would get involved in nursing again .As my children grew up I got involved in homecare which I love, I have met such wonderful families and clients along my journey and wouldn't trade my experience for anything.

I worked with the Visiting Angels Caregiver & Home health group out of Knoxville, Tn for about 2 years as a caregiver. I also helped to care for my mother, father, a sister, a brother, an aunt, an uncle, my husband, and my son. I am retired, but I still enjoy working part time as a caregiver. I can help care for your loved ones, when you need to be engaged elsewhere. Or when you just need an occasional break.... And we all need that occasional break sometimes.
