My name is Whitney,I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I have a friendly, caring personality,also outgoing. I have a lot of experience from dementia, tracheostomy, catheter (male and female), diabetic, amputee,transfer,full transfers,and partial assist,hoyer life, sliding board, bathing,and home making just to name a few things so you can have an idea of some of things I have a experience in,but I assure you I did not name all of them. I've always wanted to be able to help people who needed assistance,and that just wanted some company. Being a caregiver is an amazing job, it's the one on one that you get with the clients, being one on one,helps you to actually get to know your clients. I am in school now to become an Registered Nurse,that is something that I've always wanted to do since I was a little girl.

I am a very happy and positive person, i love putting a smile on others faces. I have been working in caregiving for as long as i can remember as alot of my family needed carers. I have always been passionate about helping others whilst providing companionship. I am very proud of being 24 and never giving up on myself. I am a 41 year old Happy Mother of a sweet 20 year old Wonderful son. Most of my adult life ive just been a mother and all my choices were about my son, now is time for me. I love camping and living a simple life, and i love my animals. I have been a caregiver in one form or another most of my life because I love to help people. I have had several part time caregiver roles over the years and helped many families take care of there loved ones and i have good references if needed. I have also been a child care provider from my home and i love to help and take care of children as well. I have those references as well if needed. I am told i am a great caregiver because i am very compassionate, patient, loving and i treat everyone like family. I enjoy being a caregiver most when i help a person i am caring for reach a personal goal or when i am praised for going above and beyong. My proudest personal achievement is my son, seeing him be grown and making a life for himself and now getting to go on and make a new life for myself that's about doing what I want to do and what is best for me.

I have worked as a CNA-HHA for over 20 years, first through various agencies and then on my own as a private duty caregiver until I started my own home care agency. I worked well with mostly the elderly and Alzheimer and dementia patients. The benefits I receive from caregiving are numerous. I truly enjoy helping people and feeling needed and appreciated by them. I enjoy interacting with the families and working together to develop care plans and meet challenges associated with the job.
