I have experienced the loss of my mother to two horrible illnesses, pulmonary fibrosis and dementia. I watched my older sister become my mothers fulltime caregiver, and learned that everything done with tender love, care , and grace helps not only the patient, but also gives peace and comfort to those closest to them. Knowing that my mother was well taken care of gave me a big sense of peace and helped me enjoy her last moments knowing that she had the best care she could of ever had. With that being said, after much thought on how I can honor my mothers memory, I have decided that caring for someone else's loved one will give me joy and a sense of being a help to someone that needs it just like my mother did.

I first became a caregiver when my mother was sick with Lymphoma. I love to cook and clean and have a heart for helping people in need, so caregiving became the perfect job for me. I am patient and understanding and take great pride in encouraging and helping people reach their potential for a more comfortable day to day living. I also have experience working with clients with cognitive disabilities and other mental health illness.

Nursing as an RN for 17 years. Had several back surgeries and retired in 2012 and now wish to return to work as a senior care provider. My nursing specialty was in geriatrics the elderly. Enjoy being around seniors listening to their stories and helping them with their personal care and their home cleaning needs. Willing to work weekdays weekends and holidays.
