I began my journey 8 years ago when I became a certified nursing assistant. I have worked in long term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, memory care facilities, hospice, and the hospital. I did not know what I was getting myself into in the beginning but somehow I felt that helping others was meant for me. Being a caregiver is who I am. I enjoy people and connecting with them even when it is a challenge to do so. Every person is unique and has different needs. I always do my best to make them feel comfortable while finding joy in the day. I am currently in my second year of nursing school with a graduation year of 2024. I have 3 children plus 3 step children age in range of 10-17. I have a four legged, super furry son name Kai. I work on the weekends on the med/surg unit at the hospital. Now that school is starting up I have time available to do what I love and that is helping others live a better life.

15 years ago I was in desperate need of a caregiver for my mother. It was very difficult to find an honest, caring, trustworthy person to care for her. I went through several different caregivers, including a family friend that didn't work out for the job. I ended up quitting my job and caring for her till she died 9 years later. At this point in my life I want to be able to help someone that needs special care because I know the negative impact it can take on the entire family when the care of a loved one is not being met. I think the sick and elderly are at our mercy to care for them.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I have over 25+ experience. I have been in the medical field, worked in hospital setting, clinic setting and in private practice caregiving. I have a wide range of caregiver experience from pediatric, adult and geriatric.

People always say that I have a very soothing, comforting way about me. I am socialable with a great sense humor . I am compassionate and patient with those having functional difficulties . I genuinely love helping others and it shows in the way I treat them,. I also have training as an EMT.

In 2019 my grandma had a terrible accident that caused me to take care of her and after spending a little over a year getting closer with her and helping her it made me see my passion for wanting to be a caregiver and help other families out

I have work in the hospital for the past 17years, I also work in home health care . I am a certified nurse aide. I also work in rehab for 6 years I became a caregiver because I love to help people. I am by nature a giving person with a passion for the elderly. My experience spans 12 years via a state institution working with the mentally challenged; and private companies servicing seniors. I prefer seniors. My services includes light housekeeping, bathing, dressing, light cooking, feeding and med reminding. Will work with dogs (no problem) but allergic to cats and cannot work for prolonged periods of time without taking meds; occasional over nights are desirable.
