I am a certified medical assistant and worked at a general medical clinic where most patients consisted of older adults. I love gaining their trust and being able to provide nuturing care to ease a worrisome or even a regular doctor's visit. I love to be that smile patients crave to see to uplift there spirits and find comfort in on both good and bad days. I am super proud of how far i have made it in my education,(signing up for my ADN soon!), despite being a very young parent and life's setbacks. I am very well on my way to be the best version of myself!
I like working with the elderly because I like helping them to become more independent and how happy they are when they receive something from one of their love ones, I also like working with the elderly because they are always willing to talk with you about things in their life that made them the happiest and how they use to do things compared to the things they are now doing, and helping them make the most of their life that is left on earth be exciting, happy and the best it can be.

I decided to become a Caregiver when I was searching for assistance with my parents and found that my options were limited by cost and availability. I enjoy being a Caregiver because it swells my heart and puts a smile on my face to make a difference in a family's life. Peace of mind when its your loved one is priceless. Maintaining Dignity and Self Respect for the client is #1 for me. I went back to school when I was 42 years old, graduated 2 years later with honors, a 4.0 GPA, Deans List and a Associate of Science Degree in Clinical Administration and Medical Assisting, following that up 2 years later with getting my Registration as a Medical Assistant. So many times I wanted to quit, I was the oldest person on campus, besides the professors, and I was even older than a few of them, but I stuck it out and I am so proud that I did. I love what I do, I'm very lucky.
