I am a very friendly caring person I believe that helps me be a great caregiver. What attracted me to be a caregiver was helping others I've been in the medical field for two years. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is providing the support and care the family needs. A personal achievement I have accomplished is going back to school to further my education in the medical field.

I love what I do because over all it brings a smile to our elderly people that need us the most at times. Hopefully in the near future I can continue on my education on to becoming a Doctor, but with all the experience of being a caregiver, medical assistant and any other position that I experience in the journey.

I have worked in Health field for 15 yrs, private practice and Non Profit settings. I enjoy working with geriatrics, listening to stories about their life, their wisdom. This is where I fill more needed, appreciated. I am a go with the flow type caregiver, not everyday is the same,we all have our good and not so good days, if we want dessert before dinner, why not! My outlook on caregiving is you treat and respect each individual as if they were your parent. If you cant do that... well maybe this line of work is not for you. I have been a.caregiver since 2011. I have been with the same company. Very reliable, punctual, I am not there to take over, change the daily routine. My job is to help them with whatever the can no longer do on their own.
What make me a great caregiver is that I really enjoy taking care of patients. I like to treat them like I would treat my family members. What I enjoy more is that I get to learn new things with them and teach them new things. Also enjoy helping them however I can. What I'm proud of is that I get patients thanking me for helping them out while they had to stay in the emergency room. It really makes me happy but sad when they have to leave.
I am very patient with my patients and go above and beyond in handling of cleanliness and ensure that patients are comfortable and aware of everything that I am doing for them. I am very reliable, responsible, efficient, preparing and sterilizing the room and equipment, organizing and retrieving medical tools and equipment, administered care, conducted tests, and assisted patients in various other ways. I know I have the drive and passion to be there when needed and will always do a great job. My nursing team is always pleased to work with me and I hope that you will feel I am competent as well.
