I became a Caregiver, because I love people, also making a difference is not just a saying for me, it's knowing that I have impacted someone with the love and treatment that they need and more. Providing excellence service to the best of my ability is very important to me. My strong point of being a caregiver is communicating, being accountable with what is needed, I enjoy cooking, understanding the need of the patient and family is important to me. I hope to make a difference in lives other in the most positive way.
Hello, my name is Nick. I have worked in the medical field for a little over two years. I began working in the field as a traveling phlebotomist. I would go to a lot of nursing homes and assisted living facilities to draw blood and pick up samples. I loved interacting with my regulars at the assisted living facilities and eventually I left that job and started working at my favorite assisted living facility, so I could work with my regulars on a daily basis. I love to work with the elderly, because I believe that they still have a lot to offer the community in the way of knowledge and wisdom. Some of my favorite things to do with my residents is talking with them about things like their picture albums. I take great pride in my work and my schoolwork and I am proud to say that I was recently accepted into Valencia's ASN (nursing) program and will begin in the Fall.

When I was very young I despised dirt and still do till now: I always will wash my hands, handle things that are filthy away from my body, and this made my brothers call me "Doctor in the house". I wanted to be a Medical Doctor but the death of my mom changed my course of life for me. I took care of my dad till old age before he passed, also took care of a friend that was diagnosed with HIV before she passed; I have since 2008 became a certified caregiver in order to walk in my passion despite my degrees in computer science and being an Accountant for some years. Giving care to people that needs help, communicating with them that needs someone to talk to, encouraging hope, and been there when needed is what I love to do.
