I'm registered nurse from a foreign country working as certified nursing assistant with extensive experience working with seniors with different healthcare needs and trained to work with a lot of diverse cultures and settings. http://www.thequint.com/2015/aprhttp://www.thequint.com/2015/apr/07/female-gender-mutilation-indias-well-kept-secret/07/female-gender-mutilation-indias-well-kept-secret
Hello, my name is Maria, I am 44 years old. I recently moved to Illinois from California and am looking forward to continuing to care for a person in need. I've been providing care for the elderly for about 3 years. My first experience was caring for my 88 year old grandmothers everyday needs. I helped with feeding, bathing, medications, light housekeeping and was there for companionship. I also cared for an elderly couple, 24 hours a day 5 days a week, for 7 months in 2017. I helped with meal preparation, transportation, light housekeeping, medication reminders and was there for companionship, and anything else that arose. Currently I am working with several clients, but am looking for something more permanent. Being a caregiver gives me the satisfaction of knowing I am making someone's life easy and comfortable. I am proud of successfully raising my three children whom are loving, caring, and respectful, which I think is a reflection on my character. I am looking forward to working with a loving family, and assure you that I will care for your loved one as if they were my own. I am available Monday-Friday and am hoping to continue providing assistance to a person in need.
I have beena medical assistant for 9 years - became a caregiver about 8 years ago after my grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. After caring for her I got a job at an assisted living facility for memory care. I fell in love even more with the field. I took care of 28 residents and loved everyone of them. I truly have a passion for taking care of people. I then started working for an agency with home health to where I started to take care of loved ones inside the comfort of their own home and this was exactly what I wanted. They were inside their own element and comfortable rather than being inside a facility. I then loved this field even more because I was working one on one with Alzheimer/Dementia patients. I would assist them with their daily medications, bathing, light house cleaning, meal preps, grocery shop, doctor appointments, activities. I made sure they kept their minds busy and most importantly comfortable.
I love what I do to help the people that I take care of. I know that it sadden a person to know that they can't do all the things that they are use to doing for they self. And if I can just make that person feel good about their self and put a smile on their face it really makes me happy to know I can make them happy and feel loved. I know that this is a very trying job, but I have learned in the six years of doing this that patience is the key. And I like to treat everyone how I would want someone to treat my loved one or me need the of help.
I love being a caregiver giving back and keeping my promise to my decease grandmother who passed with dementia. I have been in this field for the past ten years. The special people i have had the blessing of caring for has helped me be a better person, and has help me be more patient as a parent. Caregiving is a job of giving and having a lovely. Heart.😇😀

I have been in the medical field for almost 20 yrs, ranging from being a CNA, CMA, Lead Tech in a surgery center, so I have a caregiver in some for or another, but over the past 6 yrs I have been a full time caregiver to my 88 yr old mother and also holding down a part time job. I'm looking for a more of a one on one basis with that special client long term, bringING joy and laughter not only to my patients but to the entire family. My most gratifing, moment is in the 2 yrs it took me to get rid of my mom's decubdis, stage 4 sores on her bottom something that not even the wound nurse couldn't cure. I am CPR certified and first aid trained, I also enjoy caring for patients that have had surgeries and need that extra help once they are home. I also speak spanish, hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration.
I originally became a caregiver to pay the bills I knew it would give me consistency. After that first year I found my purpose in life. Being able to help those who could no longer do for themselves and in a manner that preserved their dignity and didnt embarrass them. Ive met so many great people by working for them and getting to know them it gave me a great feeling being able to help them. CNA certified

I became a caregiver because I like the elderly and care about them. I have a lot of knowledge of nutrition and have been able to help them improve their nutrition and therefore improve their health. I have been able to help a 96 y/o lady recover from a mild stroke by improving her nutrition and using megavitamin therapy. I am a patient and considerate woman who is concerned about the elderly's well being.
