Hello, My name is Tam. I am a compassionate and attentive professional who have many years of experience providing heartfelt care and assistance to clients in the healthcare arena. I am currently pursuing my degree in nursing and take pride in providing exceptional care by meeting client needs with a patient centered approach. I became a caregiver because caregiving found me! I have always had a sincere concern for the overall wellbeing of others and enjoyed helping those who are in need...ever since I was young. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the reward that comes from knowing in my heart that I've made a difference in someone's life and it radiates back to me through their love and appreciation. Being a caregiver is such an honor- it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless!
I have a great personality, I am very patient. I always make sure the job is complete before I leave or move on to the next task. What attracted me most to being a caregiver is the fact that I feel like I'm helping someone. I'm make sure I leave a good impression so that people will know I am a hard working caring person. I enjoy working as a caregiver and getting to know the client, who the clients or and their life before me. I am proud of all my achievements good and bad. Being able to complete school and get out and do some traveling. I'm proud of everything that I'm learning as I continue to move threw this life
I am a great caregiver because I'm dependable and I have patience, respect and compassion for others. I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others and being a caregiver gives me a sense of purpose. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is providing support for those in need of it as well as generally being around seniors. As a small child I gained immense knowledge and understanding from the Seniors in my life and have always enjoyed hearing their stories of their life experiences and all the knowledge they have to share with others. A personal achievement I am proud of is saving a small child from an abusive situation who was living with a close relative of mine. The decision to save the child was easy but having to report on this close relative was not. I will always protect my fellow man especially those who are not capable of helping themselves.
I have been giving personalized compassionate care for 24 yrs. I have experience in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living and hospice facilities as well. I believe in caring for the individual as a whole, taking care to look as their physical needs, mental/emotional needs and spiritual needs.I can be a liaison between other care providers and your doctor if necessary, I will take clients to doctor appointments to convey progress or decline in health. I will ensure that their nutritional needs are met and work with my clients to help them achieve the highest quality of life through daily exercising whether lying in bed, in a chair or able to stand/walk. I focus on what my client is able to achieve rather than what they cannot. I truly believe it is in the best interest of my patients to remain in their familiar surroundings if at all possible. I have excellent references . I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your individual needs. Christ's Peace

Started volunteering at a nursing home with my grandmother when she adopted me at the age of 9. Didn't know at the time the residents had Alzheimer's and Dementia. I think the residents did more for me than I did for them. They gave me an escape to get out a strict household for a couple of hours a day, and helped a lonely child feel joy. By the residents listening to my stories as well. They had became my friends who I cared deeply for. They helped mold me into the exceptional caregiver that I am today. I'm currently less than a year of finishing my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. To obtain my Nursing Home Administrator License.

I enjoy helping clients recognize and use the abilities they have, and strengthen the ones they need help with. I earned by B.S. in Applied Health Science from Wheaton College, and I am currently enrolled in Washington University's post-baccalaureate pre-medical program and am submitting applications to medical school in June 2018.
I have been in the senior industry all of my life. I have two background checks that have been done will state federal and local in the last month. I can provide those to anyone who requires it but I don't see the necessity in paying for a third background check. I'm also listed on the Family Care safety registry . My family ran and owned nursing homes. I am a dementia specialist and I just love working with seniors and helping them. I'm also a certified senior advisor as well as a certified dementia practitioner. I do a lot of caregiver training and I just love helping when I can. Sometimes it's as simple as helping someone navigate their computer or as difficult as transferring them either with a hoyer or a hard transfer I can do all in between. I love doing engagements, I love puzzles, swimming, outings. As much as I can possibly engage someone I don't sit in front of the phone in fact I don't even watch television at my house because I'm so busy and I want to help others have the best life possible. I'm also experience with end-of-life, with the wound vac, and I have a diversity of skills and knowledge including business.
