I am a dedicated State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA/CNA) with over 15 years of experience as a caregiver and have provided care to individuals in different settings. I value integrity and compassion as key in pursuit of my career and strive to achieve this with the principle of treating people how you want to be treated. I started caregiving as part time while in college and it turned out to be a humbling and rewarding career for me. Humbling in way that it has made me to appreciate life, and rewarding for being a part of making someone's life better.

Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

St. Elizabeth Hospice for 8 years providing Palliative, Respite and End of life care in the patients home and Inpatient settings. Followed by a committed record of reliability and strong ability to establish rapport with patients, family and staff. Currently working in a outpatient clinic as a Certified Hemodialysis Patient care Technician providing hemodialysis under the supervision of a RN.

My mother was a nurse and I enjoyed being a part of that atmosphere, I started out being an nurses assistant and I found it more enjoyable being STNA . That is a state tested nursing aid it took me two hospitals nursing facilities and it gave me a greater appreciation for what we do and now I'm able to enjoy home healthcare which is just as enjoyable one on one private care I'm able to apply many things that I've learned over the years which helps me and the client in daily activities I have extensive nursing training there is no situation that I have not yet experienced I enjoy being a part of the healthcare field. When my mother took ill I was able to take care of her and know exactly what the doctors were talking about that was a huge achievement to be able to be supportive and stand firm on my mother's wants and needs.

I have been involved in a healthcare setting for 20+ years. I have worked in hospital setting, long term care, hospice, home health and doctors offices. I am very passionate about taking care of others. I love doing it, it makes me happy to know that I am providing care for someone in need.
