I am compassionate and caring. I have learned to listen and read eye and body movement from clients. I took care of one client that didn't have any family and the reward of keeping her company and making her comfortable made me happy as well as the client. The smiles on their faces and there family faces of relief is enough for me. The case that i'm proud of is that one client had surgery on both her knees and couldn't walk her dog that was sick as well with digestive problems. He had to be walked several times a day and she said he waits for me at the door every morning. He normally always stays by her side. She said he has never done that before and that he must really like and sense the care and love in me. That made my mornings seeing him sitting by the front door.
My name is Tieshikia Kennedy , I am 28 years of age. I love the caregiving field because I love to make my elders still feel like they still have a reason to live. I love doing activity with my patients taking them outside for walks playing games to keep their memory sharp. I also love for my patient and there family to build trust and companion with me because I really love what I do and that's to make my patient as comfortable and happy as I can.
I'm a 39 yr old mother of 4 children, grandmother to 1 granddaughter. I like being a caregiver because I like being able to help those in need, whether it's physically or mentally. A personal achievement I'm proud of is being able to fill an empty space in my residents life on a daily basis even if it's just helping them pick up something off the floor or just being that extra ear they need to vent when they don't have anyone else. That really makes my day.
I became a caregiver because I believe it is in my nature and I am compassionate about helping others. I like being a caregiver because no matter how hard I may work or how my day is going, it doesn't feel like work. I would like to help others by doing what I like. I am a mother of four, very energetic and friendly. I recently left my position full time for a major dialysis company in downtown Baltimore and have been in healthcare for a while and started working for Catholic Charities in May 2017, part time on the weekends. I am hoping to start nursing school fall 2017 and would prefer to work overnight Monday thru Wednesday or Thursday but I have open availability and flexibility with my schedule. My personal achievements that I'm honestly most proud of are my children. I am a Certified Nursing Assitant and Cettified Medication Technician through the Maryland Board of Nursing. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very enthusiastic to help, very sweet loving kind compassionate. I've had family members on hospice before and I feel as though they weren't treated as good as I could have treated them if I was old enough to take part in that position. So my life goal is to always feel and give the feelin i've had family members I have been on hospice and I feel as though they weren't treated as good as I could have treated them if I was old enough to take part in that position. So my life goal is to always feel and give the feeling I am a part of your family and you are a part of mine. What attracted me to becoming a caretaker is as I've said a couple of my family members have been on hospice and in nursing homes and I just feel like I could've done a much better try at helping them and making them the most comfortable in the positions they were in. I enjoy loving people and talking to people I enjoy making conversation with my Residence, I like getting to know you as much as I possibly can. I'm a very loving Christian who knows how to treat someone how their family members would love them to be treated. My achievement in goal in life is to become a doctor's assistant. And starting as a caretaker to a CNA two LPNs to a registered nurse to a doctors assistant is my goal in life

I decided to become a caregiver about 8 years ago while caring for my 86 year old father. He had several medical issuses some include... COPD, seizures, stoke dementia etc. After his passing i realize how important it was to able to care for those who can not care for themselves. I also realize we may all be face with the need of someone to assist us with ADLs, errands and so forth one day. It brings me joy knowing i've helped someone continue to enjoy a quality life despite their limitation. I'm recently in the process of furthing my career in nursing. I'm currently enrolled in school for CNA/GNA which I'm proud of doing for myself. Iam a easy-going, compassionate, funloving a little quite at times self motivated and serious minded female. My passion is to help others make the most out of their life
I was a Caregiver for my mother for 10 years before she passed in 2008. Since then I decided to further my career in Nursing because she passed away in a hospital and I wanted to know what happened and why she is no longer living. I fould my answer in class and since then I decided to stay in the field and become a CNA. I have a caring spirit and I love helping others that can not do for themselves. I love seeing my clients go from being sad to me helping them to be more happy and more active in their ADL. I have certifications in CNA/GNA and Patient Care Tech. I am also a BLS Instructor with AHA. I have done private duty in the past and I worked for numerious clients and can send impecable references if needed. If I am selected to take care of your loved one, I will make every effort to treat them as if they are my parent or grandparent.

I become a caregiver beacuse I love working with people and I work with my mom and brother before they pass away and I know and understand how hard it would be on the person who is caring for their love one,and I like that the person whom am caring for can count on me to be there for them and will always look out for them and put them first always. My bigest achievement is watching someone went from I can't do it to am doing it( which mean I work on a case when the person could not walk again and he did not want to do his exercise and I would explain to him everyday I work with him that if he want to do most of the things he say he missed doing and like doing he will have to do his exercise everyday and he will see that he could walk again, and I tell him that everyday and get him to trust me and I got him to walk again and to me that was big. i'm 36 years old and a mother of two and I love to work with people and I have 16 years of managers exeperance and customer serive, and I had also manager three group homes and one of them I was the live-in house manger and I love that for I would get to hire the persons that I know who would love what we do just as I love what I do, and would not mined treating our client as part of the family.
