I became a caregiver because I like helping people that can't help thereself. I feel like it's a blessing to help caring people that needs assistance. I'm 31 years old & looking to keep advancing my career in the field. I've worked in home,group homes & nursing homes so I have plenty expierence. And currently a Licensed CNA

After 18 years of executive asst/Mktg I was in a bad car accident. During my healing process I determined I needed to return the great blessing of wonderful caregivers (vs helping someone make more money) and try to assist others in their daily quality of just living.

I became a care giver because i enjoy helping others.I love being a part of someone's life that i can make a difference in weather it be to help maintain the quality of life they have and keep their dignity,or providing end of life care. I am focused on the person as well as their family. I am 1 of 5 children,I grew up in a loving christian environment where morals and values were strongly instilled. I lost my father at a young age and lost 2 brothers to complications of diabetes in 2014 and lost my mother April 2017 due to renal disease and cardiovascular disease and lost my grandmother July of 2017. I am married to my best friend of 22 yrs we have 4adult children and 2 precious granddaughters.I am very trustworthy and take pride in my work and again i take my work very serious. I have been a certified nurse aide since 1996 to the present.

I am a 56yr old female and have been caring for/ assisting seniors and disabled/challenged adults for 12 yrs. I've worked for clients with dementia, alzheimers, MS, Parkinsons, surgeries, CHF, COPD, stroke, CKD, numerous cancers, SP Cath, diabetes, as well as other disabilities and illnesses. Duties have included companionship/mind and sensory stimulation (games, puzzles, discussions, outings..), transportation, meals, cooking, medication management/reminders, assist with hygiene/bathing/dressing, schedule mngmt(Dr.appts, hair), laundry, groceries, errands, LIGHT housecleaning, stretching/ROM exercises, household mngmt. I am certified with the state as a Certified Nurse Assistant, also trained in BLS, AED, and CPR, which allows me to work in Home Care, Hospitals, Rehab. Facilities, and Senior Care/Long-Term Care Facilities... but I prefer Home Care. I Love what I do and am compassionate and patient with my clients/patients. I hold an impeccable driving record and a chauffeur license, and have a trustworthy, well-maintained, well-insured vehicle chosen specifically for working with my clients(easy seating with easy access for walkers/wheelchairs). Working part-time/occasionally for an agency, I am required to keep a CLEAR CRIMINAL BACKGROUND as well as remain current on my CPR/BLS and CNA training/certifications and TB testings. Hi! my name is Mariah and I live in West Bloomfield, MI. I am 22 years old and is a junior at the University Of Michigan. I have my substitute teaching license permit as well as my certified nursing assistant license. My major in school is Health and Human Services and minor is in psychology. I am going to school for medical social work as well as a psych Dr. I love helping people and taking care of them. I am very involved with the youth and elderly and have been for some time in various areas. I am very patient with people, kind, and encourages a person in any way possible. I'd describe my personality as a kind, generous, full of laughs, and easy-going. I'm looking for a job that allows me to support an older adult live their life as they wish to. I have completed training as a certified nurse's aide (CPR included) at OCC recently, so if any issue arises, your parent would have a steady hand available to make sure he gets the care needed. I have training with mobility issues and bathing and can provide care help in the best, safest ways. I'm also trained as a spiritual companion so listening and conversation comes easily to me on any topic. In my spare time, I like to cook, garden, read, do genealogy, go for walks in nature, and watch old movies. I enjoy taking the time to listen to another and give them the space to understand their desires and then support them in serving those as best we can. My skills include listening, patience, kindness, laughter, and prudence. I am available to serve 20 hours a week with some flexibility there. I have much appreciation & .compassion for my Senior Clients. I spent the last 4 years My Grandma Winnie's life visiting her weekly delivering the Sun newspaper (Mom & her had in the past- would see who could finish the New York Times crossword puzzle 1st usually earlier that evening!) I'd take her to the Movies, she really enjoyed our visits WE shared together. Just as I did with her! This was years after my mom passed that we developed this special connection. By learning from Grandma.... I had learned that there is a lot of similarities in ME that have transfer thru my Peers! They are & will be part of me always...

I would describe my personality as bright , bubbly and easygoing. I am a person that tends to leave things better then when I found them . I love being a caregiver, my heart is truly in it . I enjoy going home after a days work knowing that I provided my best care . I love building relationships and bonds with my patients they become not just someone to care for but they become family .
