what helps me be a great caregiver is getting to know my client and build an relationship with them I look at all my clients as if they were related to me in some sort of way and I treat them how I would treat my mom, grandma, father grandfather etc..... Wat made me want to become a caregiver is that my parents are getting older and soon won't be able to do a lot of the things they are use to doing so I wanted to get in the health field so I can help them when they need me to help them I will know wat to do for the conditions they will have..... I like waking up in the morning knowing I'm going to care for somebody that need me and trust me with helping them with there everyday routine such as eating bathing and cleaning up there area......
I've been in the home care field for 2 years now, and find it very rewarding. I'm very patient, have an immense amount of empathy when dealing with clients -which is a must in this line of work. I know I would want myself or my loved ones to be treated with the utmost care.. which is what drives me to provide outstanding care to my clients. My grandmother has dementia, I help care for her sometimes - so I know firsthand of what it entails. Home care was a different field of work for me, but I was curious to see what it was like. I didn't know what to expect, but surprisingly I really enjoyed it. The most rewarding part of my job is developing long lasting friendships with not only my clients, but their families as well. It's hard for me to not become invested in the people that I work for. :)
What makes me a great care giver is the fact that I am always on time and I give 100 percent of my time and attention to my client. The reason I became a caregiver is the fact that I love to help people that cannot help themselves What I enjoy about being a caregiver is getting to know different types of families. A personal achievement that I am proud of is actually making it into the healthcare field and I love it
Hi! My name is Caroline, I am 25 years old and I am currently working on my nursing degree. I have a previous bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I know how important nutrition is for healing and overall health . I am fueled by my passion for helping others and helping people get back on their feet. I like to focus on what my clients strengths are and how we can overcome or make obstacles easier together.
