I have been a home health aide for over 13 yrs now, I have worked with all kinds of patients in both homes, hospitals and nursing facilities. I enjoy caring for the elderly and also helping them with their basic needs. With my medical background, I experience with different patients with different health problems with makes me more qualified up to any task assigned to.

My best life work has been raising my son and daughter. While my son is grown, I have my daughter whom is my world. Recently, I've decided to return to the work force after being married for 15 years. Caregiving is a great way to continue the same compassion I have for raising my children, and share that with those whom need it.

What make me a good caregiver is my compassion that I have for people. Its genuine. I became a care giver because I love working with people even when they are going through troubled times. Everyone needs someone and I like being that someone. I like being a caregiver because it gives me an opportunity to be around people and gives me a chance to learn from their experiences as well. A personal achievement of mine is when I use to work at the hospital as a one on one care. The patient I was with had cancer, one day when I was not at work she passed. When I went back the next day the family came to see me, and told me what happened. It was personal achievement for me because we developed a bond.

Have a clean background that can be proven with documentation. Was fingerprinted with my job. I became a caregiver because I am a caring person at heart. I was taking care of my grandmother and seen the mistreatment of individuals who didn't have their families in the nursing homes with them. I was always with my grandmother and thought I should get into the field of home-care.. I have my medical assistant certificate as well as my HHA certificate. I have a client now that was unable to walk. Due to my motivation of exercise, after 2 and a half months he was able to walk using the walker. Drs told him he would not walk again. I am grateful to be apart of that great success. I am great with getting along with all types of people and I adapt very well to different cultures. 845-536-1259

Home caregivers can really make or break someone’s healthcare experience, especially when it comes to hospice care. Sure, there are difficult patients, but sometimes it’s good to have a little reminder that a caregiver’s job isn’t just watching over a patient but also giving the patient’s family peace of mind.

I absolutely adore the elderly. ..I admire their wisdom and enjoy so much listening to them speak about their lives. I offer excellent communication skills and honest heartful company. I am mature and very much responsible. I have worked with many different types of people., including the elderly.

Hi my name Theresa Wimberly. I became a caregiver working at Chilton hospital seeing so many elderly home on there on alond. With on one to see take care of them. I like being a caregiver because one day that will be me. Growing old. Going back to school.

I am great at what I do because it comes from the heart. I find reward in the intimacy, trust and rapport gained from a complete stranger in trusting their well being with me. The place that is sometimes to hard to open up to our loved ones because it exposes a vulnerability is shared and nurtured. I am entrusted with this responsibility and gift. I started providing one on one care in 2006 just for extra cash in the hospital where I did patient registration. My past experience in customer service allowed me to convey my inner smile while defusing and resolving issues. But being a comfort to a terminally ill or a mentally distraught person changed my life. It changed my focus and I became interested in more meaningful things. Since I started doing home care I recognized my ability to connect with diverse groups, generations and cultures. It inspired me to take a course in cultural anthropology and become an interfaith minister. I now volunteer in Hospice giving massage and Reiki and aspire to be a psychiatric nurse practitioner so I can counsel. I recently became a Licensed Practical Nurse.

I am a great caregiver, i am always punctual, doing my job to the best of my ability, compassionate, listen and follow instructions well. I became a caregiver because not only do i like taking care of people, it comes from within my heart, that passion that drives me to take charge and to take care. I like being a caregiver, it keeps me focus on my goal of being a nurse. I am currently in nursing school, one of my personal achievements was being accepted into nursing school, which puts me on the road to a wonderful career in nursing where i can help and take care of people.

When I was 16 I saw how my grandparent passed due to a malpractice. He was full of life and happy. Since then I decided to go to school to serve others in a proper way. I decided to be a Medical Assistant to be able to help others. I enjoy what I do because I love to put a smile on my patients even when they don't feel good.
