I am 31 years old, born and raised in Paris. The most I can say about being a caregiver, is that I have always wanted to help. I worked for another care giving job for three boys, two around my age and one exactly in between my parents' ages. This was the most rewarding job I ever had. I felt like I made a difference, not only because I did simple things like cook and clean for them, and help them walk to the car and stay safe. What really did it for me is that I know in my heart that I LOVED doing it. Helping those boys by being a happy, smiling, bright, face they could see, then relate it to someone who gives them a feeling of security and safety and love is the greatest part. If I were rich, I'd do it for free. <3

I treat all patients as if they were family. I don't treat any better than others. I want to help the elderly so the family doesn't have to put their life on hold. I love helping others. I am glad I am able to let the elderly/disabled continue on with a normal life as possible stress free.
i AM A 42 YEAR OLD FEMALE. I HAVE BEEN IN THE HEALTH FIELD SINCE I WAS 18. MY GRANDMOTHER AND MOTHER BOTH WORKED HOME HEALTH AS WELL AS NURSING HOMES, MY SISTER WORKS HOME HEALTH AS WELL FOR THE PAST 16 YEARS. CARING FOR OTHERS RUNS IN MY BLOODLINE. WHAT ATTRACTED ME TO CARE GIVING IS THAT WHEN ITS MY MOTHER OR FATHERS TIME TO BE A PERSON WHO NEEDS CARE, I WANT THEM TREATED WITH THE UP MOST RESPECT AND CARE, NOT ABUSED OR NEGLECTED. I WANT THEM TO FEEL SAFE AND NOT SCARED, I WANT THEM TO FEEL LOVED AND NOT A BURDEN. I WANT TO ABLE TO MAKE A CHANGE IN PEOPLES LIFE, I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED AS THE LADY THAT MADE ME SMILE EVEN WHEN I FELT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH OTHERS, LEARNING THERE LIFE AND HEARING STORIES AND MEMORIES THRU-OUT THEIR LIFE. I WANT TO GET TO KNOW THEM AND LET THEM KNOW THEY THAT CAN DEPEND ON ME AS THEIR CARETAKER AND NOT JUST AS AN EMPLOYEE. MY PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENT THAT I AM PROUD OF IS THAT I AM A VERY OUTSPOKEN PERSON AND I LOVE TO SEE PEOPLE SMILE, I AM GOOFY AT TIMES I WILL ADMIT BUT MY GRANDFATHER TAUGHT ME TO MAKE SOMEONE ELSE LIFE GREAT, GET THEM TO SMILE EVEN WHEN IT FEELS IMPOSSIBLE. LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE NOT ALONE IN THIS WORLD. ALWAYS MAKE THE MOMENT MEMORABLE BECAUSE WE NEVER KNOW HOW IT COULD HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE LIFE,

I became a caregiver 20+ years ago, because it's something I am passionate about. In those 20 years I obtained experience in various facets of patient care. My strengths are that I tend to add an element of humor along with compassionate, empathetic and loving care. I enjoy what I do, and I must say...I am GOOD at what I do. I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
I have been a caregiver for the last six years due to an accident my daughters were in. My oldest was left a T10 spinal cord injury and I have spent this time making her independent. This accident has totally changed my life. It humbled me as a person and showed me not only the part of the medical field I thrive in but also showed me what I am good at. I find great reward in watching the things my daughter is now doing compared to what she was doing at the time of her accident...I know this is because of the hard work and determination I had as soon as they told me her injuries. I love going home at night knowing I made a difference in a life. The achievements I am proud of are graduating from the Scrub Technician certification program at Paris Junior College. Even though I do not work in that field I do work in a place that I get to make a difference. I am a hard worker and very reliable. I take my work serious and will always strive to be the best.
