1) Why did I become a Caregiver because all my life I have always love helping other and it started with my owe family. I was the youngest of eleven children and I watch my nieces and my nephews. I was taught by my mother to treat people the way you want to be treated. 2) What do I like about being a Caregiver, being a Caregiver give me joy and a fulfillment that I can make someone life better and bring happiness. It is rewarding, that I want to show love by doing things that other s maybe cannot do for themselves. 3) What is a personal achievement I am proud of; this just happen within a couple of months ago when my mother was in a rehab center and my mother did not remember who I was as the time. She stated to me that god was going to bless me because I showed her love and I didn't know her. 4) I would like to introduce myself and to let you know, I am a Christian. I always treated people the way I want to be treated.. I have worked in healthcare for several years. My passion is tending to the patients mind, body and spirit, in other words to ensure that they thrive where ever they are. All my life I have always being a caregiver and a servant to other. I have done volunteer in the activities and hostility areas at nursing/rehabilitation center. My career has being in the computer areas but my heart have been caring for other. Before God decide to take my 97 years old mother home, I took care of all personal needs. I have worked for Carelinx since November 2015 and the first client I cared for was a 99 year young woman and she enrich my life., She was more than just a client. she became my family. I became a caregiver since the year 2000 after I graduated from Classic Nurses Academy and took my board Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) licensure examination . Naturally, I'm compassionate , trustworthy, reliable, punctual on assignments , dedicated and above all very patience, I also love to make a difference in the life of others and put smiles on their faces, with that aspect of motivation in mind , I also helps the elderly at the volunteer food distribution in my community with whatever problems and needs that they may have. WORKING EXPERIENCE : I started working for Maxim Healthcare in January 2000. Through that, I connected with one of my clients who had Parkinson's disease. I worked with this client for a while until his children decided to hire me as a private caregiver and moved me with the client from Virginia to Colorado, because the children wanted their father to be closer to them. I took care of this client until he passed away. I returned back to Virginia after his death and started another work with Care Options in 2002. I have dealt with many clients with different needs and disabilities for the past eighteen years . PRIVATE CARE: I have being providing private care for as many as 35 to 40 different clients and families within Virginia and Maryland.
