It's just not my job it's a passion!! I have been a caregiver/CNA for over 20 years. Started with my mother and grandmother and now work with others as well. I take great pride in what I do and ensure my clients are well taken care of, comfortable, and satisfied with their services.

I am a compassionate, dependable, loving, energetic, and passionate follower of Jesus Christ and have an instilled desire to help others. My ability to help those in need is a calling that I have discovered for my life over the past 11 years, beginning in the funeral industry. Connecting with and comforting others in one of the worst times of their lives is what started my journey to becoming a caregiver. Loving on others and making a difference in their quality of life is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a helper. I was named caregiver of the year the first year I worked for an agency.

I have worked in the school district as substitute teacher for four years. Before that I worked as a private Nanny who also did home care work with other family members in the households. I have worked a lot with children with disabilities as a home care giver and as a para professional in the school district. I ran errands, planned schedules, answered phones, took kids to and from activities, and provided meals, helped with toilet training, and bath time. I have also worked with older family members which has always been enjoyable for me. I would drive them to and from where they needed to go, help with groceries, give them medication, laundry, assisted with feedings and other needed things around the house.

I have 20 + years Professional CNA work in Ft. Myers and Islands & Beaches areas, including as a Team Manger. My experiences in Home Health also started in Ohio. My skills are vast and inclusive to ADL's, dementia, Special Diets ( ie -FODMAP) and more. I'm fully licensed, insured, previous ACHA background check, CEU's, and have many references. I'm used to personal referrals but also have been on the F.I.S.H. Services Caregiver List- a United Way Credited Agency providing leads and connections to residents and 'Snowbirds', throughout the Islands (Sanibel/Captiva), and in earliest days did work through other agency referrals. Relocated-- I am a Survivor of Hurricane Ian in Ft. Myers, Ft. Myers Beach, last year, Sept 2022. I was drawn to the Ocala area through a friend/associate offering respite or whatever I needed and became enthused by it all here. I'm now a homeowner so have been busy with early repairs, upkeep and then a new roof. I haven't needed to work this 1year, but now it would be great to get a re-start here in Ocala/Marion County. 10823

As a staff nurse, I cared for mostly senior clients at a VA Medical Center for two years in Acute Care, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Nursing Home, and Palliative Care settings. I also have experience in long-term Acute Care and Hospice Care. I recently completed a two-year nursing and care-giving assignment for an elderly gentleman who had chronic and progressive neurological disease, diabetes, renal failure, cardiac issues, hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis. I was with him nights, Monday through Friday, from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. My care-giving responsibilities included personal care, toileting, bathing, dressing, transfers, assisting with ambulation, driving to medical appointments and social activities, medication management and administration, meal preparation, eating and drinking assistance. I worked with a team of female caregivers in the household, providing comprehensive and personalized 24-hour care. The other caregivers are also currently available for work as a team providing superior care around the clock, or as otherwise needed. I naturally enjoy fostering caring and the therapeutic relationships. This is something I do naturally, something I have done all my life, something essential to who I am. I became a care giver,because I love helping people,care giving gives me the chance to help the families out with problems,care when they are short with help,and I can help them in other ways too.Helping people feel like people,and care for them,better than a nursing home can do,and save them money too. I'm 59 yrs old,5'7,divorced,own my own property my 80 yr dad lives with me,he is now better,that I changed his doctor,She had him on medicines that were making his heart slow down,and swelling of his legs,and weeping,due to on warfin too long.Now that he is off,he is much better. I am looking for light housekeeping and companion work only no heavy lifting at all looking to stay in the Hudson Route 52 New Port Richey area I won't go to Holiday and I'm going to go to Spring Hill just the local areas and if it's local it's like $10 an hour instead of 15 I have my own vehicle background check went through okay I don't drink smoke or do drugs and I drive I also do pet sitting for seniors
