Hey I'm sharmain family call me Tootie. I'm 34 years old. I've been in the CNA field since 2008. Soon as I graduated high school I got my Medical Assistant Diploma and been in the field since. I've stepped a way to find other careers I like as I'm doing hair cooking and working with electronics. I'm not much of a talker but when I do I can make a full room laugh I love to be goofy I do have 3 boys witch my oldest two days ago walked into adult hood. I love sports and love to cook and do art work.

I am a mother whose passion is to serve others. I am very empathetic, patient, and giving. I put others needs before mine. And I want to make a difference in everyone's life that I come into. I enjoy helping others and find it very fulfilling. I believe care giving is more then a job. It is about building relationship as well as assisting one in need.

The first time I began to consider the nursing field as a future career choice was in 2004. I was 8 years old when I swam with my aunt Rose in their private pool and she had a seizure. I was able to recall basic knowledge about seizures taught from my two aunts who were nurses. I set a spoon inside of a towel and placed it in her mouth. I then yelled to her son, my cousin, "Call 911!" At that moment I was performing a cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It was the longest five minutes I have dealt with; it felt like an eternity. From that day onward, I wanted to make a difference by helping people to the best of my abilities. I am thankful that my other two aunts were nurses, and that they had taught me some basic medical knowledge which I was able to use to save my Aunt's life. I was born and raised in the Philippines and had moved to the United States on October 4th, 2009 to be with my mother and grandmother. Growing up, my family members would always describe me as a person that tries their best in everything they do, whether it is school, family, or my job. No matter how hard the obstacles are, I aim for success. I supported myself financially after high school with daily needs and college school expenses by working full time and signing up for extra shifts. In March 2014 to March 3, 2016, I worked 16 hour shifts, 2 days in a row every weekend at Garden Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. When I did not have classes in the morning, on the weekdays I would work 8 hour shifts in the afternoon or night and vice versa if I had school in the afternoon. In doing so, I was able to pay for my car, insurance, necessities, school, and help my grandmother. I love helping other help other individuals medically, emotionally, and spiritually by providing the best patient care with all of my heart.

Hi! My name is Jessica, but everyone has known me as just JP for years now. I feel as if I make great as a CNA because of my experience and knowledge base. I've been trained to provide care for patients with a wide range of needs, as well as knowledge of medical devices and equipment. I am outgoing and patient and fun and unique. I love patients that others find off-putting or difficult. I decided to become a caregiver because I loved being able to help people. And I am really good at doing that. I am confident I know what im doing and have worked at a facility where I was able to identify 2 residents as having pneumonia the first day on the job so you can trust that your family member is in good hands.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others.Am enjoying taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I love older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders.

I am a caregiver because it is something I have found to unexpectedly be meant to do in life. I have an understanding of what it is for a family to endure this stage in a loved ones life and I am here not sure because it's my job but because I can make this time less stressful. I want only for a family to be able to take in these moments because it's important. I view my pay as compensation for my time. I cook and I clean and I communicate. I am detail oriented and open minded to every families individuality. I am always going to be coming up with things to do and am naturally creative. I have experience with dementia patient care and all that that comes along with it. I am capable of transfers and know how to utilize a gait belt. I can assist with bathing toileting medication reminders laundry running errands following diet restrictions in meal prep health monitoring following a care plan and communication with doctor patient and family members if requested. I am a solid emotional support base and stable companion. I genuinely care for people. I practice strict covid quarantine precautions to keep my patients safe and am on the list for a vaccine during stage two. Becoming a caregiver has been a great experience for me. I have learned so much from working with seniors and the great stories and life advice I get has been what makes working as a CNA something I love to do. I'm reliable and very hard working, always ready for the day staying positive and having compassion for others. I have been working as a caregiver for 10 years and have worked in skilled nursing homes, rehab, home health and hospice. Able to help with personal hygiene, showers, getting ready in the morning or getting ready for bed. Transferring in and out of w/c, meal preparation, meal setup, medication reminders, transportation for errands or doctor visits. One on one companionship and help with daily needs.

I enjoy helping people and my job is very rewarding. I consider myself to be a very compassionate person. I have eight years of CNA/HHA experience working in a variety of clinical settings. I hope to one day become a nurse practicioner and am currently finishing up a degree in Health Sciences. I enjoy learning about different diseases processes and the treatments available. I love building relationships and trust with people. I have built long lasting relationships with the people I have helped take care of and I will continue to learn and be the best nurse I can be!
