Hi! My name is Kathy Masino. I am a retired Registered Nurse who decided to stay at home and raise my 3 beautiful children who are now grown and doing their own thing out in the world. I could not be prouder of them or more thankful for the opportunity I had to stay home and raise them. I truly miss the nursing aspect that brought much joy and fulfillment to my life. I would love the opportunity to work again with the elderly in the capacity of a companion with the added benefit of having a nursing background. I became a caregiver mostly because when I was a younger girl, I was raised by my god mother who was the absolute best person I've ever met. Unfortunately she became very ill and even though I was young I did everything I could to help, to care for her, and to make sure she knew she was loved. When she passed away in 2005 I started working in a senior living center where I found the love of helping others like I did when I cared for my mom. I knew it was what I wanted to do. I love being a caregiver because when I see the expression on others faces after helping them, and making their lives as easy a possible it honestly puts a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. Looking back now I am extremely proud of starting out years ago and thinking about all the things I've done, the people I have helped, and the experience I have gained. A little about me..
