I have worked in the medical field as CNA in a hospital setting and nursing home setting for almost 10 yrs.. I enjoy taking care of people's loved ones, making them feel comfortable and cared for. Make them feel appreciated and not alone, that's its okay to let someone help. I'm very humble, respectful, caring, loving heart,and considerate towards others. I'm very patient. I'm proud all the patients I've cared for over the years have bonded with me and trusted me to care for them.

I became a caregiver because I like caring for people. It gives me joy to know that I am providing care for someone that really need it. If I could say what I like the most about care giving I would say the smiles and responses that I am caring for. Hi Everyone ! Let me start by saying why I became a caregiver. I chose to become a caregiver back in high school when I realized being a nurse is what I want to become. I have seen many patients either not receiving the correct care or being mistreated , I said to myself one person can't do it all but I can change someone's care they are receiving. Plus many others I will encounter in the future. I think what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I treat the person as if they were my parents or family members. I take my time with understanding their needs. I treat my patients with respect & love. I enjoy working with the many different types of patients & their needs. I love getting to know them as well as letting them know I am there to take care of them. I enjoy working with my patients & giving them the care they need. I have left my job or clinicals many days pleased knowing I done my job the way it was supposed to be done & my patients were taken care of.

What makes me a great caregiver is being able to show empathy and compassion, to see my assignment more a ministry and calling than "work". I love people and working with families. I chose this area of work because it relates to my persona in that i am a natural , caring person by nature. My greatest achievements are when I am able to see results from the care and compassion I give. For example, when I have successfully been able to transition a patient from a state of "depression" to a sense of well-being and hope. I integrate this by instilling positive attitude, care and love for my clients with genuineness . I enjoy what I do and love getting up in the morning to make a difference the patient and families' lives. Additionally, I feel that I am better capable of caring for families given my wealth of experience from working with children in primary education as a certified childcare giver to going into the medial capacity working with families of all ages including geriatrics. I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years with the last of my years as a Medical Assistant in Orthopedics.

I became a caregiver back in 2007 when I was a CNA. My certification has expired because two years I forgot to pay the recertification. But I become one because I love to take care of people no matter the age. I wanted to take care of my grandmother but everyone at that time said that I was too young in which I was. So I knew from here on out that I could take care of the ones who needed help the most. I like being a caregiver because you gives you the chance to see how life was in there time of living and getting to know them. I am proud to say that I have achieved the ability to take care of someone better then yesterday. I am 26 years old and I have been taking care of the elderly since I was 19 years of age. I am the baby girl out of my mother 4 children and I just recently got married in December 2013. I don't have any children and I am currently going back to school online at University of Phoenix to get my Bachelor's Degree in Human Services with a Concentration in Addictions.
