I pride myself on providing warm, understanding and patient care for our seniors. My passion stems from volunteering at a nursing home and seeing first hand the lack of empathy for our elders. I believe in respect and lending a helping hand so our seniors can hang onto to their independence and dignity.

I am compassionate, caring, and understanding. I am very outgoing and can hold a conversation, but I also know when to just sit and be a companion. I enjoy providing care for those who cannot care for themselves and I take pride in the fact that I have the ability to do so. I care for others as I would want others to care for a member of my family. What attracted me to being a caregiver was when my mother wasn't able to care for herself, (which ironically gives me most of the expertise I have in caregiving). My mother had a motorcycle accident in 2012 which inabled her from most daily activity. On top of that she developed many medical ailments (cataracts, diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, incontinence, etc.). I cared for her until her passing in February of 2020. I enjoy the personal familiarity of caring for someone in their home environment. Being able to get to know them and their family on a personal level. Although it can be heartbreaking at times, it also brings a warmth and special bond and I believe that ecah bond is a personal achievement and those are all things that I am proud of.
