I am 59 years old. Iv been caregiving since 2019. I am fully convid vaccinated. Before this I did residential cleaning . As I began to get older I decided to try something different and more rewarding. My niece talked me into trying caregiving. Since I have started this career. Iv enjoyed it. I love taking care of people . It's not only a job it becomes personal. You get attached and become friends with the patient and their families. I am filling trained in many areas. Your basic bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning,. I'm also experienced in tube feeding, wound cleaning, transferring in every area( hoyer lifts, transfer boards etc. vital monitoring, medication dispensing. Hospice!!! All areas !! I have been in the nursing field since I was 16 in one form or another. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse because I always enjoyed helping people and I love to talk, I never meet a stranger no matter where I go , I went to RN school in Indiana and worked on the medical surgical floor and worked in surgery for a few years. I was pretty blessed and was able to stay home with my children as they grew up, so I took time off from my career was a stay at home mother but always knew I would get involved in nursing again .As my children grew up I got involved in homecare which I love, I have met such wonderful families and clients along my journey and wouldn't trade my experience for anything.

I have a strong passion taking care of the elderly. I've worked in a elderly facility as an assistant for a few years and I enjoyed it a lot. I would'nt trade it for nothing in this world.
