I have nearly a decade in healthcare experience. I have worked in short term care (post surgery), critical care and long term care. I am patience and understanding. When I care for someone I make sure to put their needs first. I am positive and uplifting and won't bring negativity into their environment. Helping people is what attracted me to become a caregiver. What I enjoy most about becoming a caregiver is seeing people become healthy again. My personal achievement is controlling my personal blood sugar by making better life choices. My fee is also negotiable.
I'm a great caregiver, because of my compassion for people, especially senior care, developmentally disabled, those who can't speak for themselves, both verbally or non-verbally, being a voice. I've always been attracted to caregiving from a young child. Since caring for both parents, and family members. I enjoy being a part of helping others have a quality of life, through love, care and spiritual enlightenment that they otherwise may not have access to. It is a blessing to help others have an extended quality of life, that may not have otherwise been realized.
Hello, My name is Benta Russell. I began my personal-care career with Synod Residential Service, in August 2013. I have always done personal-care work since I was a young girl. Growing up in Kenya, it was my responsibility to care for my family's elderly. Every day I would take care of my grandparents by fetching them water from the river, cooking their meals. I also did their laundry, cleaned their dishes, and house. One of the many things I have learned throughout the years is that it is very important to be patient and understanding when providing aid to an individual. All the people I have helped have had different strengths and weaknesses, and as the personal-aide, it was my responsibility to understand this in order to adapt to the individual's needs. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is developing a relationship with the client. As the relationship grows it becomes more than a job and is like finding a new friend. This is important to me because it makes the work that much more enjoyable for both the client and myself. My greatest achievement so far was getting my degree from Washtenaw Community College. There were many days and nights when I wanted to throw my textbooks in the garbage and walk away from school, but I didn't do that. I stuck it through to the end and am very proud to have earned my degree.
What makes me a great caregiver is how I treat people with the respect and love they deserve. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my mom, i watched other people take care of her so I wanted to give the same love back to others who are in need. What I mostly enjoy about being a caregiver is helping people. A personal achievement I am proud of is how many people I've helped in my lifetime with my caregiving career:)

I am attracted to being a caregiver because the work itself made me feel good knowing I've done right by someone who needs me. My personality is very big and I love, love and feel that everything will work out right with patience and love. Of all things being a empathetic caring person make me want to continue in caregiving, And to know I can be a Blessing to others just make my day. I am also certified through the state of Michigan.
I am an energetic professional stepping away from the corporate hustle and bustle to focus more on personalized individual care. I have been caring for a very close friend for years and find it fufilling and a special bond. I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get something done. I want families to have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are being cared for by a compassionate, loving person.
I am a energetic, reliable, compassionate, respectful person and I believe that these traits help me to be a wonderful caregiver. I am very passionate about what I do and love the satisfaction I get from servicing people. I was attracted to this job because it's very similar to what I wanted to go to school for; which was nursing. I later changed my major to speech language pathology and I love it! I enjoy keeping my clients company, assisting them in anything they need assistance with. One of the personal achievements is gaining knowledge about this field, since 2013 I have been able to learn so much and work with different companies as well.
Like a lot of people who are caregivers I started out taking care of a loved one, who was suffering from Lupus and Heart Disease. She was a retired nurse who was full of knowledge and more than happy to pass it on to me during the ten years I took care of her. I found that not only was I a very good caregiver but that I actually enjoyed it and found it very fulfilling! I think one of the most important things I learned while caring for seniors is that even though they may need help with many different things, some of which are very personal, they are still an adult not a child. I've found people appreciate that, I know I would if the situation was reversed. My second ten years in this business have been helping wonderful people who have found themselves in need of quality care. Their conditions have included Diabetes, Parkinson, Strokes, Dementia and Alzheimer's and other ailments. Some have just needed a little help and companionship. I was very happy that I could be there for them and make a difference in their day with whatever level of care they needed, and to help the family feel confident that their loved one had someone competent and caring to depend on. I have many hand written references that I have received over the years that I can share with you in person.
