I am honest, dependable, hard working, pay close attention to detail and try to maintain as much of a normal routine as possible. I first found my love for caregiving as I cared for my father in 2015 on Hospice. I love building a bond with a client and the family, which makes me able to provide the best possible care and the family can rest assured their loved ones needs will be met effortlessly and efficiently.
Families hire me to make this part of their life cycle memorable and fun. We go places, reminisce and participate in life's journey, gracefully. I especially enjoy serving patient's unique physical, emotional, and social needs related to their cultural preferences which make the individual feel acknowledged and special. I earned my CNA, HHA at Allan Hancock College and LVN at Cuesta College after Majoring in Psychology at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. What they say: "Engaging Licensed Vocational Nurse with a demonstrated track record earning, the National Humana Healthcare Nursing Award of Excellence" (2016). CARES Certified by the Alzheimer's Association in accordance with the Dementia Care for Geriatrics. What my patients say, "Don't ever forget me."
Since I was a little child I was taught to respect and provide special care and attention to older people. Mainly, I was raised by my grandmother whom I always called "Mama". I always enjoyed her company and was happy to take care of her. Therefore being around older people and making them happy gives a great pleasure to me. People call me a kind, honest, highly responsible, and hard working person, who keeps her heart open for everyone! Per your request, I'll be happy to show my CA Registration Number as a Home Health Aid, background check, liability insurance, bounding, and Caregiving Academy Certificate of training. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly at 805-709-2187. Thank you.
I graduated from nursing school with honors. After 6 years of practice in hospitals and homecare settings I decided that I liked the one-on-one care that I could provide as a home health aide. I bring a little extra knowledge to the work I do. I enjoy learning about the lives of my clients and listening to the stories. I am comfortable with most settings and look forward to learning to care for the specific needs of each precious person. Every individual is different and I am adaptable.
I became a caregiver to help people have a better life. I understand that whether the person is coming to the end of their life or trying to heal themselves we all need compassion and a little help. I have worked with a variety of illnesses and emotional states and understand each individuals needs.
