Devoting most of my time to the care of someone else is one of the most selfless things someone can do, but it's not only about the time involved. Being able to understand the person you're caring for, knowing their problems, challenges and desires will not only make it easier to care for them, but will undoubtedly improve the relationship you have with each other. Empathy is a big aspect of that, and being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and be empathetic will only increase the quality of care you're providing. As instrumental as caregivers are, communication is key. It can be something as simple as going through the day's schedule, or complicated as discussing health concerns, but no matter what it is, it must be done well. Subpar communication will do nothing beneficial for the relationship, and in fact, could damage it. Furthermore, as it's likely there's more than one caregiver in the individual's life, and because of all the moving parts, communication is key to get information to all the relevant parties. Whether it's relaying health information or just remaining congenial, communication between caregivers is important, second only to communicating with the individual.

I enjoy helping people reach their best potential. I love how the small things bring someone who needs help great joy and excitement. I've been a care giver for 20yrs and I have witnessed many residents/ clients improve their quality of life because of this care. I am currently waiting to return to the next semester of school, so that I can further my nursing goals. I am the program manager of the facility I work for. I have maintained this position for the last 6+ years. I have worked with people with different areas of intellectual disabilities from mild, moderate, profound, and severe disabilities. I manage the appointments of all 6 residents in the home year round. Attend all meetings and ensure their quality of care is met on a daily basis.

Hi, my name is Julia Yang. I am 23 years old. I have been doing personal care for about 2 years now, and I have absolutely loved it. When I was younger, I knew I always wanted to help others, but it wasn't until I took my CNA class at Fresno Adult School that I really fell in love with geriatrics. Hearing all their different stories, seeing their smiles when I would do simple tasks such as refilling their water, and having them ask for me to take care of them over their usual CNA's brought such joy to me. Knowing that I could make the littlest positive difference in someone's life absolutely makes my day.
I am very patient and passionate about my job. I love helping those in need and go as far as possible to get them back to being independent. Even to make my patients feel at home and good about themselves. I took Fahrenheit of my father for 4 years and have experienced it all. I am very proud of myself for doing so much at a young age and continuing with my education as a registered nurse.
Hello I go by jj but you can call me by whatever you like. I have a wide range of experience from working with kids to in n out to being a caregiver for ten years. I love being able to help someone with just their daily life. As I was working as a caregiver it opened my eyes to my true passion which I am attending school for. I plan to become a nurse practitioner with a BSN. If you like my resume and reference letters just ask with a email so I can send them.
Hi I've been an LVN for 25 years and in nursing care for almost 30 I started as a CNA in Oakhurst because I wanted to work with the elderly and I've always had a love and a calling to help people. I am fun in a laid-back person so I feel that I will make anyone that I work with Feel comfortable safe and we'll cared for! FYI : the state of California requires that I have a background check and fingerprinting as part of my Lvn license ;)
