Hello my name is Tammy. I have been doing caregiving for 32 + years. I have experience in physical therapy,occupational therapy. Hoyer lifts GI feeding tubed , colostomy bags, nebulizers, sleep apnea monitors and many more. I have alot of experience and not much I haven't done. I specialized and dementia and Alzheimer's. . I also have experience with hospice care.

I started out as a CNA when I was 16 years old in a convalescent home, I was in the Army from 1975 to 1978. I used the GI Bill to become an LVN. I've worked in LTC, rehabilitation and acute care settings. you name it I've probably done it. My father was a minister and my Mom always wanted to be a nurse, however she kept busy being a ministers wife, I took care of both of them in their last days. I now prefer to take care of people in their homes, which I believe is the ideal setting and much less stressful.

Hello! My name is Cassie, and I live in Modesto, CA. and have more than 30 years experience. I trained as a SNA(Student Nurse Assistant) back in July of 1990 and became a CNA(Certified Nurse Assistant) in September of 1990. I have worked for many years in Nurse Registries, Convalescent Hospitals, Hospitals, as well as private homes before returning to school and pursuing other interests until my children grew up. As my children got older I eventually pursued my dream by becoming a one on one State Certified Private Home Care Aide. I have continued working as a CHCA since October 2011 and have enjoyed learning and growing with my clients as well as their families all while Iearninq to care for their needs in a way they have come to appreciate. I LOVE my work and I will continue to do my work until I can no longer be of service to my clients. The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.

A personal achievement for me was when one of the toughest person I am taking care of stated that I just made him feel important and apologizes for being mean and asked me to take care of him from that day on. And when I simply cover them with blanket while sleeping and says to you " Your such a sweet person and thank you for taking care of me every night ". And that feeling of warmth fulfilment when I simply put a smile and genuine laugh when they see me. Those are huge accomplishments for me because at the end of the day, I go to sleep smiling knowing that - I just made someone's day. It made me feel driven to do more the next day and repeat. I am hardworking, caring, compassionate, patient, understanding, dependable, reliable and flexible and a sucker for life stories. I had worked at Assisted Living and Memory Care Community for more than 7 yrs & as a Personal Care Assistant and Medication Technician. I had been an independent Caregiver for more than 10 years & counting. I am my own boss :) and I have several individuals that I care for. I assisted individuals on their daily living routine i.e. Dressing, grooming, bathing, escorting, preparing their meals, assisting on their medication management.
