I started being a caregiver when I was 25 years old, I always had a heart for people and helping others. I knew that was the type of work I wanted to do was give back my time and love to ones that need special care. I worked with clients from ages 17-78 some with mental and intellectual disabilities, to working with patients in a mental hospital suffering from depression, drug abuse, rape, self harm, suicidal thoughts and attempts. My favorite moment about working in this field is when I know I have changed someone life and/or made life a little more easier to live in.

I've been a caregiver even before I was certified. I helped take off my grandmother before she passed away. Being a caregiver is definitely in my blood in which I pride myself on such. I am a 37 year old mother of 2 teenage sons. I enjoy working with people and being helpful. I worked for an older couple for 12 years. I am only looking for work now because they both passed away. I am friendly and upbeat and enjoy being useful.

I am a very honest, caring and loyal. I enjoy making my residents laugh. I have alot of patients when dealing with my residents. I also will go out of my way to do things for my residents such requests that other staff wont consider doing. I have work with clients since 1995. I took care of my mother and father. After their passing i decided to go to school to become CNA. I really enjoy getting the resident to open up and talk about their past. I have found that a lot of residents have very interesting stories.

I have a positive outlook on life and anyone I come into contact with is always thanking me for making them laugh and uplifting them. My expertise in many of the specialties such as MS and Alzheimer's it has made me become a better caregiver than I could ever imagine. I have always been a care giver in my family just because my grandmother was sick when I was young so I had to help take care of her. The gratification that you get when you know someone is happy and healthy because you made them that way is the most remarkable things that you can ever feel. My personal achievement that I am so proud of is going to school and furthering my career into an LPN also doing this and having a family of 3 children to take care of, I am doing this for them.

I've done home care for 23 years. I have experience with hospice and dementia patients. Also work with patients with paralysis. I took care of my own bedridden grandmom for 3 years in my home. I will do all personal care and can give any medications needed. I'll shop and take to appointments if needed. I'm friendly and compassionate.
