Hello , I'm Amanda and a local compassionate caregiver. I completed LPN school this past winter. I worked as an overnight nurse of a local rehab unit at a long term care facility. I am currently studying to take my state boards for my nursing license. My skills range from post op care to Covid care. I enjoy caregiving most because it gives me fulfilment.

Hi, I am a mother, grandmother, and I love to care for my family. I started caregiving first for my grandparents. I fell in love with taking care of the ones who can't care for themselves or maybe just need a little help and a lot of companionship.

I became a Cna at 17 years old when my Great Grandmother decided she would not stay home with us, not wanting to burden family. I decided that one of us needed to go to her then and went to Job Corp got my Ged and Cna before my Highschool class graduated. I then took my first job at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Waterloo, Iowa . I believe in giving my clients and their families the best of me as I see the big picture and know how hard caring at home can be. In 1998 my grandpa was diagnosed with Parkinson's We kept him home as long as we could and then I went to work at Country View where he was first placed due to memory problems. He ended up back home ! We cared for him until he suffered a fall ( very common in Parkinson's ) at that time Caring for the elderly in a loving, respectful and life enriching way no matter the illness/ ability is my goal! I want my clients to have the best day each day they spend with me and I have an amazing portfolio showcasing my light work and great family references! I am capable of all aspects of homecare! I have 20 plus years experience. I am loyal and dependable, I have a glowing, upbeat personality! Great references and letters of recommendations! I am a very trustworthy and organized person ! You will not regret letting me assist you in keeping your loved one at home! I am also a cosmetology grad, graduated at the top and love bringing my hair, skin and nailcare experience into the homes of my clients at no extra charge!! I am amazing with memory care patients! My compassion for others is one of the many things that would make me a great caregiver. My grandmother was sick for a long period of time in my life and me and my family helped assist her in many different ways which is why I'm attracted to become a caregiver. I enjoy helping others who cannot do certain things for themselves but I also would allow them to be independent in someways. I would let them know that I am here if they need me in any shape or form. A personal achievement that I'm personally proud of is earning my CNA licenses.

I am a very devoted caring individual. I have a warm and comforting persona. I enjoy my career and It shows. I take my work seriously, but I'm also up for activities if need be. At work my patients called me "Sunshine". I always have a smile on my face. I enjoy helping people. It's what I've always done. I am the oldest of five sisters and we grew up in an unstable home. I grew up quickly and started taking care of my sisters when I was 9. I'm still helping them. Anyone who knows me, knows that they can depend on me and that I'm trustworthy. I am always helping someone by taking them shopping, taking them to doctors appointments, taking them to pick up prescriptions, or just sitting and visiting because they are lonely. I love to help people accomplish things that they need to get done but can't because they can't drive (due to seizures etc...) or because they need advice or companionship.

I am a sublime Care-Giver because I'm trust-worthy, friendly, and out-going. I am a born-again Christian, so I believe in Christian values, such as: honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. I became a Care-Giver because my parents raised me to always respect my elders, and I know that they have amazing stories and plenty of wisdom to share. My job as a Care-Giver is truly the most rewarding job I've ever had, so I would like to continue working in this field as a career!

I have a great eye for detail, caring, understanding, patient, trustworthy, dependable, great at my job because I love what I do! I work in a dementia care unit now for over a year. I'm a good listener and enjoy conversations. I have been a CNA for over 5 years working continuously in geriatric long term care facilities and over a year in an acute care hospital. I'm CPR certified, and state licenced! In over 5 yrs. I have never had anything go before the Nursing board!
