1. When a patient goes to the doctor and have to hear very bad news and suffer from extreme pain, they need a happy face and support. As a caregiver, it's my duty to offer the kind of support and passion that they do not receive in the hospitals. I became a caregiver because I care and I want to offer my help. 2. I like the organizing of daily schedules but most of all I like to keep my clients active especially the elderly. I have researched to prominent causes of increased diseases and pain in elderly clients and the one thing they all have in common is being sedentary. So I enjoy getting my clients active to reduce stress, pain, and increase longevity. 3. I am proud when my clients want me to return. When they are happy with my services and are excited in me returning. 4. I am currently working on gaining more education by becoming a nurse and then later I hope to become a physician assistant.

I'm a great caregiver so I've been told. I make my patients feel comfortable, I get them involved even knowing that their not able too. I make them feel as if they helped. Taking care of someone is a gift and it requires some heavy lifting, and helping people clean themselves... sometimes including wiping their butts, faces, etc. Helping them eat, sit up, get dressed, go outside, and basically making their lives better. It's a tough job, and you have to remember to give them their privacy as much as you can but there to assists at all times. I became a caregiver because I took care of my dad for five years and saw the high demands and how much patience you need to show. I love this profession because I meet new people and they add me as a family member. Even when the patient passes away the family members still keep in touch with me.
I am currently a student attending Broward College nursing program. I also have CNA and CPR experience within a clinical setting. My passion for people and caring spirit is what makes me a great caregiver. I have experience working in a long term care facility caring for elderly and middle aged adults. Also, I assist with activities of daily living, assist patients with meals, and assess patients to implement intervention measures. I don't just care for the symptoms or diseases that may occur in a person, but I treat the person as a whole which includes meeting their psychosocial needs. I enjoy being allowed the opportunity to make a patient feel confident and secure.
