Hi. My name is Teresa D. Johnson. I am an EHS, which is an Early HeadStart Teacher. I have worked at a Private Daycare for the last past years teaching students. Although, now this is my second year teaching students at HeadStart School and yes I love it. However , my most loveable experiences skills are working as a Caregiver, Sitter, Private Sitter, Private Duty, and CNA. I have worked over 30 years in Caregiver field. Some have been through Agencies, Homes, in Hospitals as Private Sitters, Sitters, and etc. My mother at the time was my very first patient. I loved it and desired my heart to continue to for-fill my passionate towards others and that's what attracted me to becoming a Caregiver. It blessed me knowing that I could provide the needs to others as I did for my mother ; after her deceased. My heart desires were to treat others in the field of caregivering like my mother's love, which was a personal achievements for me. Finally, I loved most about being a Caregiver is this, if you don't love what you are call to do in this lifetime and you can't show love as the word of God says to do. Truly, that field of work is definitely not for you. They sometimes just want someone to talk to and give them a little time. That's what has always attracted me to this work. In my 30 plus years of work experience I have developed excellent customer service skills, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills. I am very punctual, organized and detail-oriented. I have 11 years of Vent Unit experience and 1 1/2 years of Rehab Unit experience. Growing up I was always one to take care of others. I like to see and help my patients and make sure they are comfortable. I like to hold conversations with them and listen to there life experiences. I am personally proud of being able to be there for my patients, encourage them along whatever there specific journey is and be a hand to hold and a shoulder to cry on.

I love and have the upmost respect to my patients and others to serve and give them the best possible care in what their health allows me to do. I took care of my mother and sister at the same time,who was both on dialysis while their time on this earth. They did not have to go into a nursing home,because they had me, someone who was qualified to do the job at home,this was my greatest challenge, but it worked out fine. This really attracted me to continue to work as a caregiver. Knowing how to communicate to other officials and getting the job done right. I have worked to many Health CareAgencies, Nursing Home,and Hospitals. I know and have been trained by the best in the field. My biggest achievement was when I continue to become a Licensed Practical Nurse to really upgrade my skills,because I really care about people health problems and I look at myself and say. I hope someone will have the same heart as me to care enough to make me better and show love.I have good refrence upon requests.

When I was taking care of my grandmother, I loved the way we talked about her life story. Taking walks with her. Caregivers go shopping with clients and going out to eat with with. I just love listening to them talk. I just love what I do. Its a privilege to walk in and give them a smile on their face.
