With 26 years experience in providing care, I've always strived to be professional while at the same time maintaining a relaxed family environment for all of my clients. I know a little more about just how important that is. As you can see on my resume, several times I've put life on pause to care for members of my own family. I know how difficult is to find the right care for a loved one. I think being a caregiver is something I've always stuck with because of those very personal experiences and just truly being able to relate with families and how much they need to be able to trust and depend on me. I've been on both sides of the coin. I prefer to work overnights. My back isn't quite what it used to be, so overnights allow me to be vigilant and assist, but also do less lifting. My focus is always on the comfort and safety of my client.
Becoming a caregiver has been a great experience for me. I have learned so much from working with seniors and the great stories and life advice I get has been what makes working as a CNA something I love to do. I'm reliable and very hard working, always ready for the day staying positive and having compassion for others. I have been working as a caregiver for 10 years and have worked in skilled nursing homes, rehab, home health and hospice. Able to help with personal hygiene, showers, getting ready in the morning or getting ready for bed. Transferring in and out of w/c, meal preparation, meal setup, medication reminders, transportation for errands or doctor visits. One on one companionship and help with daily needs.
My personality is satisfactory and having a good public relationship has helped me build my personality, I love serving and making a difference in a persons life, being in the world of caregivers and building the relationship brings me very close to my clients. I always enjoy when the clients share about their past life experiences, it motivates me a lot. My greatest personal achievement is when I have impacted somebody in a positive way, in doesn't matter what kind of services I offered
