Hey I'm sharmain family call me Tootie. I'm 34 years old. I've been in the CNA field since 2008. Soon as I graduated high school I got my Medical Assistant Diploma and been in the field since. I've stepped a way to find other careers I like as I'm doing hair cooking and working with electronics. I'm not much of a talker but when I do I can make a full room laugh I love to be goofy I do have 3 boys witch my oldest two days ago walked into adult hood. I love sports and love to cook and do art work.

What's makes a great Caregiver is someone that has compassion for what they do. That comes with being honest, genuine, patient, and loving. I believe I am all those and more. I always try to connect with people, make memories and become a part of their life. I love to read, write, and I absolutely love puzzles. I have been a certified nursing assistant for a year now, with that CNA license I also carry a certified medication aides license giving me the ability to administer medication as well. I am going to school at JCCC and I do work as well. Mostly during the day. I've had multiple different kinds of experience with allot of people. I have had experience with residents that have had a g-tube, I have personal experience when it comes to that. I also have experience with trachea, a colostomy, someone being paralyzed, and also residents that have Dementia. I love my job and what I do. Being able to make memories with those that I see everyday makes my heart glow. The achievement that I am most proud of is escaping a harsh environment with my child by my side. And finding a passion I long for which is making others smile. Doing the best I can as a mother, a caregiver. And a friend.

I am a perfect fit for helping individuals. I can relate at times to how they are feeling when going through or have gone through a traumatic life change. Whether it be a short term or long term prognosis. I feel this is the most important quality in caregiving. Who wouldn't want someone to understand them for them and not look at them as if they are a patient but rather a true person. What attracts me to doing this type of work is how someone can be so thankful for what we do for them even if it is to just pick up a piece of paper off the floor. The most smallest things matter the most and to see them smile as if I made their whole day better makes my day 20 times better. I look forward to going into work and doing all that I can for all the people I have taken care of for almost the last four years. My biggest achievement in this particular job is having my loved ones thank me for the job I do for them, but I remind them it's more my pleasure than theirs.

My name is Lucinda (Cindy). I worked in care homes taking care of elderly residents for 27 years. I also worked at a hospital as a CNA for four years. And I recently worked as a DSP in a group home setting for special needs clients. Unfortunately I had to quit because the schedule no longer was working for me. I enjoy helping and caring for people. It is something I have done most of my life.

I'm a very outgoing CNA that's currently in school finishing my prerequisites to get into nursing school!
